Nintendo released information for the release of the upcoming Fire Emblem Engage mascot, Sommie. Somniel seems to be an unidentified person, but to be treated like a Guardian Deity. Those cute creatures have lived there for several years. Interacting with Sommie in different ways will offer the player benefits.

In a conversation with Vander, Alear learns more about Sommie, a mysterious creature that started to appear in Somniel long before they woke up. Vander says that Sommie has lived on the island a long time, but likes to appear and disappear in the same way. Lady Lumera, mother of her mother, played with the creature when she was young.

The short Fire Emblem Engage video released by Nintendo also shows that the player can pet Sommie. Not only that, there is something that must be encouraged to do so, it will not grant the player resources such as Bond Fragments. The video showed along with the menus that players can feed Sommie and change their attire, but there aren’t any more details on these functions yet.
Fire Emblem Engage comes out worldwide on January 20, 2023 for the Nintendo Switch. In the eShop, you can order it with pre-order.
