Yacht Club Games reveals new Shovel Knight updates including a brand new game.

    The Yacht Club Games hosted their own. Direct style presentation Today, mainly to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Shovel Knight. As such, the event included various announcements related to Shovel Knight, including the reveal of a brand new game.

    This new Shovel Knight game has no title and was not shown, but Yacht Club has confirmed that it is in development. He also indicated that various hints about the nature of the title could be found in other Shovel Knight games, such as Shovel Knight Dig, Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon, and Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove.

    The studio also says, “We’re committed to creating an experience that not only honors the legacy of Shovel Knight, but also pioneers the latest gameplay mechanics. This isn’t just another sequel.” – This is a bold new adventure that will launch Shovel Knight into a whole new dimension of gaming.

    We’ll have to wait to see what the new game is, but the studio revealed an improved version of the original game called Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope DX. It’s basically the definitive edition of the 2014 indie classic, featuring 20 new playable characters, a rewind function, save states, online multiplayer, chats, and more. Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope DX has no release window or announced platform. As for smaller updates, Yacht Club announced free DLC for Shovel Knight Dig (its ultimate content pack) and Pocket Dungeon.

    Yacht Club also provided an update for Mena the Holover, its upcoming action-adventure game. A new trailer offers a montage of gameplay, and Yacht Club says the project is “close to completing an early pass on all levels of content.” It plans to spend the next few months polishing and improving the gameplay. Yacht Club has revealed that the game has grown more than expected since its reveal in 2022. It now includes an “expansive” overworld and RPG elements. The studio says a major gameplay reveal is expected in the near future.
