Indian esports company Nodwin Gaming announced the Indian Premiership 2023 today – Kingfisher became the title sponsor. Kingfisher is a drinker in India, owned by the United Breweries Group.
The tournament will take place three seasons over the year and feature open qualifiers. The Winter Season has been announced and will culminate with a LAN final. As for the past two seasons, the summer and the fall will be the same way. The game titles in those two seasons could be different.

The Kingfisher Indian Premiership 2023 will have four games, three of which are now being announced. World Cricket Championship (WCC), 3: Tekken, 7: a game and Clash of Clans. The fourth game will be announced later.
Registrations for the three games is currently live from 22 to 3 p.m. en. But players aged between 21 and 21 can only register themselves.

Because of the young audience, a lot of people would question advertising alcohol in esports, but nodwin Gaming and Kingfisher are doing it anyway. They didn’t seem to promote beer that is not permitted by Indian laws. According to the official press release of the event, Kingfisher is a brand related to some of the best music, food and sporting events.
The Indian Premiership appears to be used to promote the Kingfisher brand or to promote the brand with its packaged drinking water.
The age of registration for the tournament was set at 21 years, while the legal drinking age is in the majority of India.

History of the India Premiership.
The Indian Premiership has a long history in the country. IP is owned by Nodwin Gaming and is considered one of the oldest running tournaments in the country.
In a similar way, Nodwin was the head of the esports company ESL. There are two sets of qualifiers on ESL. For the Indian Premiership of Kingfisher, Nodwin has moved to Start.gg.
The European Championships took place in 2017. A second year in 2017 saw three seasons in the same year: Winter, Summer and Fall. Usually every season was one of those games which included CSGO and Dota 2. All in all, they culminated in a final with the LAN.
However, it wasn’t held in 2021 and 2022. Nodwin has come back in 2023 with a new title sponsor.
