Many fans online are discussing the potential of Assassin’s Creed Mirage multiplayer and co-op modes. With Assassin’s Creed Mirage returning to the series’ roots, fans will be wondering if the game will feature multiplayer or co-op similar to what was found in previous entries.
There has been no multiplayer or co-op for several years now, the games have been completely single-player ever since Assassin’s Creed Unity. Now it’s time to look ahead to Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and whether or not we will see the return of multiplayer to the series.
Will Assassin’s Creed Mirage have multiplayer or co-op?
Assassin’s Creed Mirage will not have any multiplayer or co-op support. Once again, Ubisoft has opted to keep this series single-player after not having any multiplayer for nearly 10 years.
From Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood through to Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag there were multiplayer modes that featured a variety of different game types. After Black Flag, the series dropped the separate multiplayer mode and introduced a more cooperative approach. In Assassin’s Creed Unity, the last game to feature multiplayer, fans could join up and aid each other on missions that ran alongside the main story.
There are rumours, murmurs and suggestions we will be getting a fully multiplayer game at some point in the future – the game is under the codename Invictus. However, until we learn more about Invictus, it looks like the Assassin’s Creed series will continue to be a solo adventure.
That’s all there is to know about multiplayer or co-op in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. It isn’t long until the game launches, so to catch up on everything we know so far, make sure you check out our Assassin’s Creed Mirage homepage.
