Some recipes in Disney Dreamlight Valley require very specific ingredients to make. If you want to make sake maki or apple cider glazed salmon, you’ll first need to start by finding some salmon. It’s not particularly hard to find, except you’ll need to have unlocked a biome that’s only entered later in the game. Here’s where to find this delicious pink fish in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Best place to fish for salmon in Disney Dreamlight Valley
While the harvesting menu will tell you that you can find salmon on both the Sunlit Plateau and Frosted Heights, we recommend sticking to the icy heights if you want to catch salmon quickly. You can check the map above for the location of this biome. You’ll notice that Frosted Heights is quite a ways from The Plaza Biome. That’s because Frosted Heights is a biome that you won’t be able to unlock until much later in the game. It costs 10,000 Dreamlight Points to unlock.

Once you’ve unlocked it, salmon can be caught at bubbling white spots in the Frosted Heights River. There are no weather requirements for spawning this fish, and bubbly white spots appear quite frequently. It shouldn’t take you long before you have a handful to take back to the kitchen with you. When you go fishing, remember to bring a Disney friend who increases fishing for a chance to catch two salmon every time you find one.
