Wartales is a gritty medieval squad based RPG with some fantasy elements. The gameplay draws on a number of influences, featuring XCOM-style turn-based combat coupled with real-time open-world map movement. Each character in your squad, which starts with four characters but can get much larger, levels up individually. Everyone can have a craft, so there are a ton of resources you’ll need to find to make the best items. In this Wartales guide, we will be discussing the hard to get Ghost Carcass.
What mobs drop the Ghost Carcass?

You will receive a ghost corpse for each animal you kill that is part of a Ghost Pack. At the beginning of the game, these Ghost Packs will initially be made up of a few ghost Wolf and ghost boar mobs, but once the battle starts you will get a Nightmare (ghost horse) that will come as a complement. Each animal you defeat will normally give you a ghost corpse at the end of the fight.

How to find Ghost Corpse in Wartales

Unfortunately, there is no fixed place in which you can always find mobs that drop Ghost Corpses. On the plus side, they are available in all regions, including early in the game in Tiltren County. we have found the large forests around Tracker Camps are good places to look when starting out, like north and west of Highland Tracker Camp (1) and northeast of rich farm (2). But we insist that his arrival is random.
The important thing to remember is that you only find a Ghost Pack at night and almost always In a forest. The best way to know that a Ghost Pack is nearby is to always be accompanied by a spooky fog which sits on a small area of forest. When you see one, walk towards it and you’ll usually find a Ghost Pack. Or it will find you…
What is a ghost corpse used for?

There are two main items you can make from a ghost corpse in your camp:
- white leather: Requires a level two tanning rack (Blueprint is available through the workshop or can be purchased for 200 Pristine Fangs from the Arthes Tracker Camp). You will get two White Leather from each Ghost Carcass.
- Spasmodic: Requires a Meat Drying Rack (blueprint is 200 Pristine Tusks from the Highlands Tracker Camp).
It’s easier to get the meat drying rack and make jerky, but white leather is one of premium resources in the game. While it is sometimes available in Trackers’ Camps, as this resource is hard to come by, we suggest saving it for when you can upgrade it to White Leather. If you have Blacksmith, they will need it for some Journeyman’s Recipes as well as to add armor layers.
