In this guide, you can find out which classes are the strongest and which ones are not worth playing.
Greetings to all players. This is my first guide, so I ask you not to judge strictly. I will say right away that the guide will not contain information for beginners, so if you are not familiar with the basic mechanics of the game, some points may be incomprehensible.
I don’t want to pour water, so let’s get down to business. I played about 50 hours of the game, killed Fenrir in solo on day 11 and in duo on 9 with a friend in co-op. And now I got bored of playing the three strongest classes (more on that later), so I decided to write a detailed class guide. I will divide the classes into three tiers AB and C, respectively.
A tier – the best classes for the fastest passing of the game (killing Fenrir), useful in any party, suitable for solo passage.
B tier– good classes, but at some moments they are quite situational, it makes sense to take these classes if you have a friend with you.
C tier – frankly weak and useless classes (spoiler, in C tier only 1 class)
For a little intrigue, I’ll start with the worst and end with the best.
I hope this information will be useful to you, pleasant reading!
Before I explain why I think the Guardian is the worst class in the game – foreword.
Each class in Midgard has its own task, we will talk about each specifically further, but running ahead I will say that the Guardian has no zest. I opened it at 10 o’clock, ran one run and didn’t like it at all. Played for another 20 hours and decided to try again. Something is wrong again.
The class seems to be for tanking, but the tank from it is bad. Then maybe buffs? He has only 1 buff, which you can safely throw with a legendary ax. Then maybe it does more damage than other classes? And then a mistake, he has 2 attacking skills, but they are so crookedly implemented that they often fail to hit. In general, the character, as they say, is neither fish nor meat. Compared to its usefulness, it loses to all other classes. It makes no sense to take it as a tank, because all the coolest tanking skills were given to the Defender. There is no sense in his buff as such, because there are potions and an ax for the same buff in terms of effectiveness.
In general, the class is so boring that even talking about it is not a desire. But a guide is a guide.
And so, the best build for the Guardian. ✔ – Download 100% of the time.
❎ – A completely useless skill.
~ – We swing these perks according to the situation, depending on the chosen weapon and element.
Why is that?
The class has a feature that I did not mention earlier. He can stun the enemy by hitting with a shield. Quite a useful skill at the initial stage, but useless on bosses. We do not swing perks “no mercy” because + 5-10% damage to stunned enemies is very funny. It’s easier to pump + 10% damage to swords, which always works and does not require conditions.
Shield throw and ring of shields are quite interesting, but unfortunately useless skills by the end of the game. With their help, you can quickly clear the camps at the beginning of the game, but by the end of the game, these skills simply become frankly weak, since they do not extend any special effect to bosses. A shield throw flies from enemy to enemy and stuns all affected (captain america, lol), while the ring of shields just deals damage. The fortress of shields for 2 lvl also makes no sense to swing. The shield is constantly updated at the armored man, he does not need an additional fortress (Fenrir’s Shield is generally unrealistic to break). The regeneration of the class is also weak, it is quite pleasant at the beginning of the game and useless in the late, when bosses deal 3k damage to you from a poke. Regen with full pumping in the area of 250 hp every 5 sec. It’s easier to run with a legendary lightning sword, but we are pumping this skill for lack of a better one.
I think that’s all, I rode a skating rink so to speak. If this class has fans who know the subtleties and imba strategy – please write in the comments – it will be interesting to read C:
As they say, here they are from left to right … Chic classes that have their own role and purpose. Ideal for cooperation with a friend in discord (examples will be below).
Each class in B Tier has its own cool twist, its own calling card. Okay, I will not torment, let’s go in order. Defender! Typical tank representative as we know it. A lot of HP, very difficult to kill, aggro mobs and deals medium damage. The class is quite simple, but at the same time very interesting. I recommend it for playing in multiplayer, as it will be useful in any stack, and it is super easy and very pleasant to play for it. ✔ – Download 100% of the time. ❎ – A completely useless skill. ~ – We swing these perks according to the situation.
The hallmark of the Defender is the ability to attract creeps to yourself. Pairs very well with a team archer. The second, but no less important perk – Last Stand Allows you not to die from a blow if you have more than 1 unit of health. Even if you have 2 hp, you will not die from a boss hit, and if you take a weapon that can be healed … In short, in straight hands, he is stupidly unkillable. The only danger to him is one of Fenrir’s attacks when he starts howling. If you get stuck under it, you won’t be able to survive. He also has a health buff up to 40%! This is the thickest class in the game, it’s a pity that the potions restore only 3000 hp C:
When playing for this class, I do not pump my fighting skills for the sake of defensive ones. I advise only hand players to play solo on it, since unfortunately it has little damage. The relief from pain and the pillar of protection must be used wisely, it is better not to beat the creeps one by one, but to collect them in a train and clean them at once with the help of getting rid of the pain .
The class is simple and intuitive. I will not delay with it, let’s move on. The Hunter is one of the most underrated classes. Most likely this happened, due to the fact that the players cannot understand how to play and what it is for. I give the answer. The Hunter is the best scout in the game, as it has a perk that allows you to increase your vision to frantic boundaries. If you have a hunter in your team, then you will very quickly find all the merchants, and therefore it will be easier for you to craft the necessary weapon and close Fenrir. Well, it turns out, my pumping of the Hunter in any game. ✔ – Download 100% of the time.
❎ – A completely useless skill.

Yes, you need to download it according to the situation. There are, of course, frankly weak skills such as Bag for traps or Break the distance , but they are needed to go to weapon buffs. In general, key skills will allow you to collect resources 2 times faster from the very beginning of the game. This pushes the team very strongly, especially if you are playing two or three. A hunter in one trip to the swamp can take out resources immediately for 3 sets of armor and 3 purple axes with the element of lightning. I consider this skill to be the most important in this class, since no one else has such a cool perk tied to resources. Dead eyeon the other hand, it helps to find points of interest much faster in your queue, since an excessive view will allow you to better understand where and why you are going. But using a bait and a totem is not an easy thing. The bait helps a lot if you play with a bow, and the totem works very cool on Fenrir, because after death you do not go to the base and you can save half a minute of extra run.
The class is again not for solo passage, since it does not have a lot of damage. But the Hunter will be glad to see in any stack, believe me.
Pathfinder. finally DD class! But not really. In essence, the strongest archer in the game, but there is a small but. I personally use this class for quick reconnaissance of the map, since already at level 4 it can receive a permanent buff of 20% to movement speed. Let’s add here the ability to zoom out the camera and get a real tracker. It is these perks that I consider to be the trump card of the class. You can run the whole game with a distant camera that will allow you to see much more than other classes can see.
Well, let’s move on to the perks! ✔ – Download 100% of the time. ❎ – A completely useless skill. ~ – We swing these perks according to the situation.
I’ll tell you right away why you shouldn’t download the perks marked with a cross. It’s simple, they are insanely weak compared to the rest ¯ \ _ (ツ) _ / ¯. The slowdown from melee attacks does not fit into the concept of an archer, the Rapid Arrows perk does not increase damage, and perks to bows / swords by 10% sat down behind a useless Slow thrust , so they also fly by. Instead, we take any perk for your favorite element and play from it.
The Large Quiver shows itself very cool , since a 50% chance sometimes returns 10 arrows out of ten. A very cool perk that will allow you to shoot cool arrows throughout the game. Other classes cannot afford this waste. Charged shotin turn, it greatly increases the damage from the bow, we season it all with explosive arrows of the element we need and we have excellent damage at a distance. The only thing I don’t like is the weakest starting skill. Unfortunately, such a cool class is initially given a useless ability that works crookedly. God knows, it might be remade, but at the moment it just has no use. Guardian! One of the most interesting and enjoyable to play. This class has the ability to endlessly build stairs and build steep routes with their help. His outfit NEVER
does not break, but he can fight with absolutely any weapon. Also, this class has privileges at merchants and artisans, and its hallmark is a guiding stone with the ability to teleport to the place from which you went to the base. Let’s move on to its perks C: You can see right away that the class is very flexible. He can either carry 4 healing potions with him using the Potion Bag , or carry an additional rune with the help of the Rune Carver . In one of my races, I collected 6 Seyd’s Reapers , the damage was such that the wallpaper in the kitchen peeled off … The coolest perks I think are Keeper’s Hands and Torgash
… Thanks to these skills, the Guardian can craft items at a 30% discount, sell junk at a 25% markup, and buy ANY goods at a 25% discount. It’s these skills that make him super useful in any game. By using merchants wisely, you can get out in purple gear faster than anyone. Plus there is just a bombing perk Stairway to Asgard , which will allow you to build stairs and platforms in an infinite amount. You can climb into deserts through huge walls, pass rivers directly, collect all the ancient treasures along the way, and all this is one perk. Also, with the help of this perk, achievement for 100 buildings is very easy. For example, I performed it on Guard C :.
But there is a small problem, where can we go without it. The class does not have combat skills, except for a% increase in damage. Yes, he can choose any weapon, but flexibility does not give him a major advantage. It is very pleasant for them to play in a stack with other players, but for solo races I do not take it and do not recommend it to you. A guard is needed to play in a team, therefore, without a team, his potential will not be realized.
Well, this is where we end with B Tier classes and move on to A Tier .
Perhaps I’ll start with the fact that I’m offended. It’s a shame to me that all A Tier classes are DD. Yes, they include the Seer, but he is generally a separate topic of conversation. Let’s go in order. The warrior is the standard of DD. At the moment, this is the class used by speedrunners. He has everything to be considered imba. First, it is self-sufficient. It is independent of the team and is ideal for solo runs. Secondly, it deals huge damage and is the most tenacious class in the game (more on that later) . Thirdly, it regenerates mana 50% faster than the others, which makes it more flexible in battle.
That is, in principle, all that can be said about the Warrior, in short. Everybody played for them and everybody plays for them, it is open at the beginning, but it is never boring to play for it. It is very simple, and very strong …
But let me tell you better about the C perks: ✔ – Download 100% of the time. ❎ – A completely useless skill. ~ – We swing these perks according to the situation. According to the perks, everything is clear, 4 mana scales are super strong, a 50% buff to damage on the last combo attack is super strong, + 50% to mana gain is even stronger. I don’t even know what to say in reality. Well, that’s just a super strong class. No more, no less. The only thing that is a sin not to tell is his Reckless Roll perk
… It is thanks to this skill that the warrior is a meta. You see, the roll is bugged due to the peculiarities of the game engine. This is especially noticeable when playing as a warrior. The dodge pocket lasts almost a second, therefore, any boss simply stops inflicting damage on you. It is so easy to use the roll that it raised a big question in me WHEN WILL IT BE PURPOSED? Thanks to one perk, the class is stupidly immortal. Well, okay, I don’t want to express my complaints about the game in the guide, so let’s take a look at a couple of other perks. Indomitable Dust allows a warrior to raise himself up if he is unconscious. Resurrection lasts 8 seconds and in 90% of cases you will most likely die. In any case, the skill is worth pumping up, because 10% sometimes save the ass from burning due to lost souls. Hot swapalso should be attributed to strong skills, but I did not put a tick on it, because of the need to carry 2 weapons at once. I personally always pump this perk, since every race I craft at least 2 weapons, well, you decide for yourself С:
That’s all, let’s move on to other classes. Wow Berserker! How many nerves did I spend while trying to open it, dear mom. But it’s worth it, believe me. The berserker is simply destructive and is also one of two classes that can adequately use two-handed hammers as a weapon. Berserk is also a good pick in any stack. He does not depend on the team, cleans locations without difficulty and does just tons of damage on bosses. It also fits perfectly with a starter set with the Nothing to hide rune and the savage hammer
(IMHO, this set was specially made for the berserker: D). The main feature of the berserker is attack speed. The more he hits enemies, the faster he begins to attack, and when he reaches the limit, he will explode and cause damage to surrounding enemies. Also Berserker has the ability to inflict crit. strikes (this is his unique feature). And at this point we move on to his perks. ✔ – Download 100% of the time. ❎ – A completely useless skill. ~ – We swing these perks according to the situation.
I will immediately speak out about the lower branch with the camp and the resistance to it. I believe that perks are weak relative to others, but they have a place to be in different builds, so download at your own peril and risk. Berserk, in my understanding, crushes damage. He kills creeps so quickly that they do not have time to respond. Here, by the way, there is a big problem – the breakage of the weapon. That is why I pump Sturdy Weapons to the maximum every race . More attack speed – the faster you lose your gun, it’s simple. As for Subdued Rage , it is a very situational perk. I tried to play with it and didn’t really feel the difference, so I stopped pumping it altogether. Well, you, of course, decide for yourself C:
In general, the class has only one tool – explosive damage. They are very pleased to play, because even using a bow, it turns into a machine gun: D.
Well, we are moving on to the strongest class in the game.
The seer is just imba. I first wanted to give him Tier S because of his inadequacy. He’s just good at everything he has. He is the perfect support, he quickly gets his comrades up (5X FASTER!), And his comrades can quickly put the Seer on his feet. With his blows, he creates a tree that heals all allies in a small area, and also stuns enemies (but not bosses). But this was not enough for the developers either. The Seer has + 20% attack speed and the ability to cut armor and attack power to enemies. It’s just the perfect class for any game. Even if you have 10 visionaries in the game, you will only be stronger. It is very pleasant to play and any player is glad to see this class in the team. It literally has no minuses, only pluses and it’s not so difficult to open it. And finally, it has immunity to the climate FROM THE SECOND LEVEL! I said everything. We go to the perks.
✔ – Download 100% of the time.
❎ – A completely useless skill.
~ – We swing these perks according to the situation.
Basically, I only want to touch on two perks in his build. Sturdy weapons and Strength at home . He needs a strong weapon for the same reason as Berserker. He hits very quickly, so the weapon literally pours out. If you play through the sword of Fenrir, then the skill will make it literally indestructible. The strength of the house is a very strange perk, which I consider superfluous. But I think some people might like it, so I didn’t put a cross.
Take a Seer and play as a Seer. This is the strongest class in the game at the moment. And with these wonderful words I will end.
Epilogue, I guess.
Thank you all for reading my guide. I will gladly accept your criticism and make it more readable and more pleasing to the eye. I just wrote it in one breath until 2 am, I suddenly wanted something: P
In any case, I would like to discuss with other players the problems of balance between classes and who and how plays this or that class. In the future, I will add a guide and add another section where I will describe cool combinations of classes for playing together, but from you I will ask me to help and throw ideas if you have any.
This is it guys!! I am sure that you will love Tribes of Midgard Complete Class Guide that we have shared with you. We are always open to discussion and suggestions from you. Just let us what you thought about the guide in the comment section.
Also, we would like to thank STEPAN GOHAN. He is the one behind this wonderful guide.
