The wait for the uber funky jet set radioThe Bomb Rush Cyberfunk-inspired vibe-fest has felt particularly long. We first heard about the game back in 2020, but with its recent pushback in 2023, we thought there might be more delays to come. However, hope may be on the horizon.
In a tweet sent by @saint_whynne – later retweeted (the closest we’ll get to an official endorsement these days) by the game’s developers, Team Reptile – looks like the team is on the hunt for voice actors to play that funky music and get into the groovy vibes .
The official Team Reptile Twitter account (@ReptileGames) has kept us fully up to date with brief clips of gameplay mechanics and movement progression since the delay, but this virtual assistant call casts a hopeful light on the project.
Whether the move to the voice acting stage of development suggests the end is in sight for Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, we can’t be sure. What we can be sure of is that such development is indeed proceeding apace, which is always a good sign. What’s more, the call is giving a lot of people the chance to get into a game that we’ve been excited about in anticipation for a good while – if you’ve got the pipes, why not give it a try?
Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is currently slated to move to Switch in 2023. We hope development is strong enough to get this done sooner rather than later.
