As it grows older, it becomes more clear that life after the end of the game is in full – it is more complicated than ever before. In the future, The release of its first-ever remake has had a large impact, reaching the end of the first cycle of its year. All that has been evident in all of the improvement that has come from the sales, which has had nearly four years since, with over 10 million units sold at last count in the world.

From the very beginning, this is impressive, but its more interesting than Capcom, and it quickly becomes apparent thatResident Evil 2success has been acknowledged by many, and many have, in turn, taken steps in hopes of resurrecting its success. It has happened in many ways, sometimes more subtle than others, but the most obvious is the resurgence of the horror genre.

It would be very silly if all of that were allattributed toResident Evil 2. For instance, many might argue thatRE2itself might not have been the flash that it turned out if it didn’t build the critical and commercial success ofResident Evil 7 to build off of. You can say that there is more than one game that contributed to the horror genres revival- but no matter how you look at it,Resident Evil 2does deserve credit for a large portion of this.

Even a cursory look of the gaming game now will tell you how much business has been in the major city by the huge success ofResident Evil 2 and otherResident Evilinstalments. Until not that long ago, the majority of developers and publishers believed that there is no market for horror games anymore, that large-scale, big budget, AAA games would never be able to sell enough to attract a respectable profit. The picture look completely different from that one for a few years.

The two-year old was used as a remake to try, likewise. Of course, unlike horror movies, remakes have always been (and will always be) hugely popular, so it isn’t like we weren’t getting good remakes of beloved games before 2019! Finally, after the success realized, developers and publishers opened their eyes to new possibilities. Revivals of ancient games and remakes and reimaginings have become more frequent than ever, which is saying something.

As for “Warcraft”, the horror is only known for the most part. There’s no shortage of upcoming games where you can be more drawn to Capcoms survival horror titles, in either form or in one form. TakeDead Space, for example, a franchise that was unimvocally dead, with no hope of ever seeing the light of day again. Even though EA owns it, it was not a shortfall. ButRE2managed to get even more EAs head (everything from the success of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, too) and now were getting a ground-up remake ofDead Space that is hoping to revive that franchise likerehas has managed over the past half-diabet.

TheresSilent Hill, a franchise that is worse at times than the dead space, to say the least. Since we have gotten a new series by neoclassical-styled supper, it’s also been a long time since we’ve got a good game. But now that there is plenty of hunger for new well-made horror games, and yet Konami knows that remakes aren’t exactly that successful, were the remakes ofSilent Hill 2, which, much likeRE2, is also a fixed camera survival horror classic and makes it into a third person over-the-shoulder game.

Another major horror franchise that has been on ice for years and is finally returning isAlone in the Dark. So long after this long-running series had been so long running, many had given up hope it would ever come back. THQ Nordic is probably a company that has the knack to dive into its large catalog of actual properties and bring them back into the limelight. At this level, however, it does for a third person reboot that almost evokesResident Evil 2quite strongly.

There are few examples of the footprints of the Capcoms flagship franchise easy to reprint. TakeThe Callisto Protocol, for instance, that isn’t a remake or a revival of any kind, but a major new horror title – with a wide audience of enthusiastic interest in horror launched byResident Evils. -Alan Wake 2 is currently in development at Remedy Entertainment, and has been officially confirmed as a full-fledged survival horror game. On top of that, recent reports have also claimed that No more Heroesdeveloper Grasshopper Manufacture is working on a new multiplayer horror game that uses the inspiration ofResident Evil 2. And of course theresResident Evil 4 will be another remake, just going to have some re-issues, which are similar to the original original and the 2019RE2 remake.

Would it be exact if we didn’t say that these games wouldn’t exist forRE2? Evidently not. Again it’s important to note that RE2 is not the only one responsible for this genre of remakes and horror-games. However, it’s also not surprising that it has played a huge role in it. Capcom made an extraordinary game that received almost unanimous acclaim. In nearly four years of age,Resident Evil 2 has continued to sell in lifetime sales. In a few occasions, the major publishers and developers have talked about how horror games are dead or single player experiences don’t exist anymore. The remake of Life-style horror, by any player, was born in the first place and has experienced the kind of critical and commercial success it has seen, has been a wake-up from many of these publishers and developers, and the results of its internal changes to achieve similar success with their own efforts are clear to see.
