The best team for the Sunshine Cup in Pokemon GO

The Sunshine Cup is returning to the Pokemon GO Battle League, so you’ll need to assemble the best team possible if you want to outshine your opponents.

Even if it’s raining outside, the Sunshine Cup is back to lighten things up. This themed Pokemon GO Battle League challenge only allows Fire, Grass, Ground, and Normal-type Pokemon to enter with less than 1,500 CP, which means you’ll need your normal team to have a chance to win. Building strategies will have to be reconsidered.

So if you’re looking for a break from the standard Great League, Ultra League, and Master League formats, try the Sunshine Cup with our best team recommendations below.

One of the best teams you can use in the Sunshine Cup. Pidgeot, Steelix, and Swampert. This shouldn’t be too surprising, as these three Pok√©mon are also very popular choices in the Great League.

As well as three high-performing Pokemon PvPoke Ratings For the Sunshine Cup, there is a wide range of coverage between them. This means you should have counters for most opponents you will come across in this cup.

Would be another great team option. Raflett, Gallagher, and Abumasno. Rufflet and Gligar fill roles like Pidgeot and Swampert, while Abomasnow is a spicy pick that can take down most of the birds common in this cup.

Regardless of which team you use, the key points to remember are: teach your Pokemon their best movesets, max them out at around 1,500 CP, and make sure you keep their Covering different types in between.
