Sol’s RNG Era 8 update brought a new merchant to the game known as the Jester alongside the long-awaited NPC Mari. The Jester, also known as the Black Merchant, sells various items to players but is difficult to locate. Here’s a brief rundown of the Merchant Jester’s location in Sol’s RNG.
Where to find the Merchant Jester in the Sol RNG
The Jester Merchant appears randomly in Sol’s RNG biomes, meaning you have to traverse the map to find him. During my playthrough, I discovered that the game notifies you of the merchant’s arrival by displaying the message “The Jester has appeared nearby.”
When you see this message, you will need to check the popular locations for your possible spawn location. Otherwise, the best way is to ask in the chat section about Jester’s location, or you will be able to spot a crowd around him.
It is worth noting, however, that the merchant leaves every few minutes, so be sure to locate him quickly.
How to trade items with Jester in Sol RNG
As mentioned above, Jester sells various valuable items in the game that you can use to your advantage. When I first interacted with him, I could either have a short conversation, such as asking him “Who are you?”, or exchange items. To exchange items, you need P points, which is the only currency he accepts. For example, I could buy Eternal Flame for 13P.
Unfortunately, I don’t know how to farm this currency for now, but I’ll be sure to update this article once I figure out some easy ways.
