Resident Evil 7, one of the biggest entries in the historic horror franchise, is now available on iOS for iPhone and iPad. And the best part? If you’re not already a fan or have doubts about how it will play on your mobile device, you can try it for free before you buy!

Resident Evil 7 is widely regarded as the game that brought Resident Evil back to its horror roots. And while you can argue how effective it was, or indeed what it means to bring a series back to its roots, what it means to be as different and diverse as Racey, this is undoubtedly one of the best games in the series. Is.

Set in the Bay of Louisana, you play as Ethan Winters who is searching for his missing wife. But when he’s hounded by the mysterious, mutant Baker family, it’s a battle for survival as you explore the Baker estate to find out what happened to your wife, and the true source behind the terror. Explore.

    A Resi Renaissance?

Resident Evil is one of the most important franchises in gaming. And while the series was never unpopular, the often complicated storylines tended to alienate new players. But Resident Evil 7 and its follow-up, The Village, helped bring a whole new generation of players into the terrifying, pulse-pounding and (absolutely) sometimes silly world of Resident Evil.

It seems that, in addition to jump-starting the Resident Evil franchise, 7 will now serve as a litmus test with Ubisoft’s release Assassin’s Creed: Mirage, to see if Apple’s high-end AAA quality releases can hold their own. How well can it stack up against its mainline counterparts? We’ll be keeping a close eye to see how it goes.
