Believe it or not, there are even more ways to play Resident Evil 4 on the way. Giving Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim a run for its money in terms of ports, Capcom’s Resident Evil 4 has been ported to anything and everything. Now, its so-called worst port is getting a new lease of life.
First arriving on the Nintendo GameCube in 2005, the fourth mainline Resident Evil quickly made a mark before it started sprawling out onto other systems. To this day, Resident Evil 4 is more than just your standard Resiverse outing, with it being held as one of the most important video games of all time.
Resident Evil 4’s worst port is getting emulation
Kotaku reports that Zeebo is getting emulation, and quite rightly points out some of you might be asking, “What is a Zeebo?” Released in 2009, the Zeebo was a digital-only console that only made it to Brazil and Mexico. It was effectively a phone with a controller attached that you could plug into your TV.
With the Zeebo kicking the bucket in 2011, it wasn’t exactly a long-loved affair, but using Qualcomm BREW technology, it actually managed to get some pretty impressive games on there. Serving like a console replacement for those who couldn’t afford one in these regions.
The Zeebo launched with bangers like Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D and Tekken 2 built in, while others were available for download. Among them was Resident Evil 4. We’re not sure who asked for it, but developer Tuxality is building a Zeebo emulator. Although still in its early stages, the emulator boots Crash.
There are clearly some graphical issues, but with Tuxality continuing to work on the Zeebo emulator the Resident Evil 4 port should be available at some point. YouTuber “Stop Skeletons From Streaming” did a Zeebo speedrun and called it the “worst” way to play Resident Evil 4.
Is Capcom working on a Resident Evil 5 remake?

The divisive 2009 game presents plenty of problems when it comes to being remade for modern audiences, but ultimately, it has plenty of potential to reinvent.
This means our hopes of a Code – Veronica remake are slipping, although Capcom has hinted it could go back and remake some of its older titles instead of powering ahead with RE5. Sadly, unless you’re going to download the Nexus Mods mod, the odd blue zombies of Resident Evil 4’s Zeebo port are largely lost to the ages.
