A popular Nintendo 3DS game could be coming to Nintendo Switch soon. Masahiro Sakurai is best known for the Super Smash Bros. series, and that’s partly because that’s all he’s worked on since 2008 with one exception. In 2012, as a director, he premiered Kid Icarus: Uprisingthe first game of the child icarus as Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsterss was released in 1991 through the NES. The third and most recent release in the series, it was notably the only game made by Project Sora before it shut down in 2012.

The million dollar question is if this is a joke or not. Sakurai has been known to engage in a few teases here and there, but it’s enough to have some fans hooked.

“I know full well that I don’t always like things Sakurai says or does as insinuations. But it’s pretty cheeky for him to say something like that and if the man wanted to, I’m sure he could go straight to Shinya Takahashi’s office and say that wants”. to remaster Kid Icarus Uprising for Switch and the project would be greenlit on the spot,” read a comment on the video on Reddit. “In addition to a good part of the personnel who worked in Kid Icarus uprising later I would work on both smash 4 Y Latest. So it would line up with this Bandai Namco remake/remaster of a Nintendo they’re working on, assuming that Smash The team is doing the remastering.

Of course, at this point all we have is the video above and the speculation it has created. In other words, nothing definitive, so take everything here with a grain of salt.
