Niantic has detailed the next Twinkling Fantasy Event Coming to Pokemon GO. The celebration will run from Tuesday, January 10 to Monday, January 16, with start and end times at 8 am and 10 pm local time, respectively. This event will see the debut of both Mega Salamence and the shiny Dedenne, so there’s good reason to get out and play during these dates.
wild encounters
There will be a new rotation of Wild Encounters during this event. There are several shiny Pokémon available in Encounters, but the most notable is Dedenne. Dedenne’s shiny form makes its Pokémon GO debut for the Twinkling Fantasy event. Players wishing to encounter one of these shiny ones should make sure to free up plenty of storage space so they can find and catch as many Pokemon as possible.

There are some interesting Pokémon in this event’s raid rotation, but fans are likely to be most excited for Mega Salamence’s debut. This Pokemon will be hard to take down, so make sure you team up with other trainers to pull it off.

collection challenge
There will be a collection challenge for players to complete during this event. It will most likely involve catching the many Pokemon that appear in the aforementioned wild encounters. Upon completing the Collection Challenge, players will receive 50 Salamence Mega Energy, one Charged TM and one Fast TM.
