Payday three opens the new year with a teaser trailer and a release window

Videogame developers and publishers seldom announce anything on New Year’s Eve. But, for some reason, Starbreeze Studios and Overkill thought it was a good idea to announce a game in themidst all the “new year, new me” posts over on most social media. Over time it worked, and Payday fans are now terrified that they’ll take a chance to play threequels sooner rather than later.

Payday 2 lost its former momentum after which happened a few years ago, so fans ought to come back for the next three years.

The developers and the publisher beat everyone to the first release date. This short video a long time will advance, and a link that will help players select the game on Steam.

In the future, Payday 3 will be out on consoles and PCs later this year, which is a full decade since Payday 2.

Here’s the official description of the game.

3 DAY is the sequel to one of the most popular co-op shooters of all time. The PAYDAY-players are so excited that they get the thrill of a perfectly planned and executed heist. That’s why a low-earth FPS experience is very rewarding for PAYDAY.

With the Payday Gang’s new door to retirement, it’s becoming a nightmare of police-enforcement wherever they go. After a long time of terror in Washington DC, the crews reacted to the threat that led them out of early retirement.

Payday 3 could be exactly the same success as its predecessor, as it was with the successful announcement.

It’s crazy to think that Payday 3 almost never got made. After releasing Payday 2 in 2013, Starbreeze Studios failed to keep up with the money for the ongoing development and support for Payday 2 in 2018. Through this progression, development has been put to a halt until late 2019 after Starbreeze did some reforming that Overkill finally got the chance to resume work on Payday 2. Over the years, Overkill and Starbreeze have released 10 DLC heists for the game, and many other content drops.

For Payday 3, Starbreeze and Overkill are working together with Koch Media on a future co-publishing deal.

It will be interesting to see how well Payday 3 will do compared to Payday 2 which is widely considered one of the most popular co-op PPS games in history. A 7-year development cycle and a switch to Animated Engine can only benefit from it.
