My Success Guide for Passpartout 2: The Lost Artist!
How to get all achievements
Hidden achievements
An upgrade!
Your tools are what you use to paint, you buy tools on commission from various people around town, or buy tools from Benjamin’s shop.
A new home
- Buy a studio from George.
To the right of Benjamin’s shop, you’ll see George trying to sell a studio. The studio costs 1,499, and includes a color mixer, a stationary easel for painting, and a few places to hang some of your favorite artwork that you don’t want to sell.
Dangerous fish!
- Make a beautiful warning sign for this fisherman.
One of the first commissions you’ll access is for a fisherman named Harry. Go down to the docks, and he’ll ask you to make a warning sign. Just look carefully, and he will accept it!
pit? More like plot holes!
- Help George fix the pothole.
You will see a barrier (pit) that prevents you from reaching the pink area on the western side of the map. George will fix it, but you’ll have to pay for it. You can either pay him 300, or trick the synth into drawing a “bullshit message” on the sticker. If you choose the Synth option, it’s by the post on the left, and George will ask you to pay a small fee of 100 until the end of the commission.
Mrs
- Do whatever it takes to move Amelie.
Early in the game, you won’t be able to access the upper park area and beyond because Amelie blocks it with some cardboard castle cutouts. First you’ll need to show him you’ve got the 3 tools. Next, paint it something really cute (just paint some hearts on something). Once you give her the painting, she’ll let you through!
Goodbye, Sweet Home…
- Leave the seaside retreat.
You will get this achievement automatically if you just play the game. At the beginning of the game, follow the prompts and leave the island when Bobby tells you that you have been evicted. Click on the boat and release!
Come on son come on!
- Let hope burn the painting.
Progress through the game until you’ve built some commissions around the map, and collected a fair amount of tools. Finally, walking through the park area, you will see Hope calling out to you. Follow her cues and commissions, and eventually, she’ll come down with a trash can on fire (or something like that) by Flash. You will have two choices: burn the painting completely, or save the painting. This achievement will appear when you choose to let the painting burn. There is another achievement associated with saving the painting, but you have to start a new playthrough to get the second achievement.
Just a small burn…
- Protect the painting from burning.

Be diverse
- Sell a painting to each subculture.
There are 4 subcultures in the game. La Fleur’s family members (who look like George but with different clothes and hairstyles), anarchist punks (people with synths and other crazy hairstyles in the western part of the map), business people (Bobby and other formal (clothed people) located in the eastern alley part of the map), and then aristocratic people (Lancecour and other snobs located on the hill after you finish Lancecour’s commission/performance. Even if you don’t Knowing what each subculture likes, if you annoy them enough with your paintings, they will feel sorry for you and offer a very low price for it.
Match the colors!
- Use the Color Mixer to create a new palette.
After buying the studio from George, Color Mixer opens. When you go inside your new studio, you’ll see the Color Mixer, but it won’t work! Ask George about it, and he’ll tell you to talk to Spark, located on the western side of the map. Spark can fix it, but for a fee of 500 (I think, it’s 500 or 600). However, after you pay this fee, Color Mixer will be available to use, and you can either buy new recipes from Spark, or get recipes from commission. Once you find a recipe, go to your studio and click on the color mixer, and let it create new colors for you!
Packed bag!
- Place 6 tools in the bag.
An easy win, just buy more tools from Benjamin or complete some more commissions! (Or buy some tools from Ben’s shop in the northwest Snobby Hill area, but they are very expensive).
The ball is rolling!
Sell paintings! If you want to sell paintings quickly, go to the pink area on the western side of the map. I personally find their paintings the easiest to sell, because all you have to do is choose bright, crazy colors, and write a bunch on your painting!
Master Salesman
- Sell 100 paintings. impressive!

Like riding a bike
- Back to selling art!
An easy feat, just sell someone gasp!
Friendly family
- Sell a painting to a member of the La Fleur family.
The members of the La Fleur family are those who look like George but with different clothing and hairstyles. Paint something you like, but if you can’t figure it out, bother them enough with your paintings and they will feel sorry for you and offer a very low price for it.
An-art-y!
- Sell a painting to an anarchist punk.
Anarchist punks include people with synths and other crazy hairstyles in the western part of the map. Paint something you like, but if you can’t figure it out, bother them enough with your paintings and they will feel sorry for you and offer a very low price for it.
Hidden Achievements Continued.
The former ran out of the room.
Deal!
- Sell the painting to one of the business people.
Business people include Bobby and other well-dressed people on the east side of the map (street area). If you can’t figure out what they like, tease them long enough and they’ll feel sorry for you, and offer a very low price for your painting.
The elite
- Sell a painting to one of these elites!
Elitist fancy-pants people include Lanscor and other snobs on the hill that you unlock after participating in Lanscor’s scam (I mean production play). To start the game you need to have access to the park and at least 2000 in your pocket. If you can’t figure out what these people like, just pester them long enough and they’ll feel sorry for you, and offer a very low price for your painting.
Hidden achievements
Sharing the spotlight
- Place Benjamin’s art in the Museum of the Masters.
Reach the end of the game, where you are in the Museum of the Masters, and you are asked to present your masterpiece! Instead of choosing to present your masterpiece, choose Benjamin’s artwork that he gave you after he was kicked out of his store.
I am the master!
- Hang your art in the Museum of the Masters.
Reach the end of the game, where you are in the Museum of the Masters, and you are asked to present your masterpiece! Choose your masterpiece, and you will find success! (Both this achievement and the “Sharing the Spotlight” achievement require a separate playthrough.
Among the Masters
- Submit your art to a museum.
Beat the game! Or finally present something to the Museum of the Masters. I’m sure you’ll find success whether you submit your masterpiece or Benjamin’s artwork.
Plot twist!
- Skip the epic quest of Lanscor.
First, access the park area and show Lanscor that you have 2000. Then, immediately go to the city area and talk to Belfort, where he will give you the skull for 3000. Give him money, and he’ll give you a skull. Then, go directly to Lanscore and scalp him. Also, if you want the “What a Plot” achievement, you have to start a new playthrough.
What a conspiracy!
- Embark on the epic hero’s journey of Lanscor.
Complete the quest with Lancecor, when he asks you if you have 2000. He will then cheat you out of this 2000 by forcing you to participate in his acting antics around the map. While you may be mad at Lancecour for getting your money’s worth, he wears some silly outfits (The Mermaid is my favorite). Also, if you want the “plot twist” achievement, you have to start a new playthrough.
good egg
Find Banky on the east side of the map (the area above the beach). Right next to Binky will be a bird that doesn’t fly over the rock. Click on that rock (or under the bird), and you’ll get an egg!
