A new study of the NASA’s first telescope, specifically designed to search for a human inferno and other planets where orbit carries the knowledge of the Earth. This first robotic telescope has recently received a thorough technical and program review. NASA says the mission has reached the final stages of design and manufacture now.

That mission is fulfilling the Mission of the Planetary Defense Coordination Organization (PDCO), established several years ago by NASA. Under the NASA’s permission bill adopted in 2005, at least 90% of near-Earth objects larger than 140 meters can be identified and studied that are by far half the distance from Earth’s orbit. A Object of that size can damage at least the regional level at the moment of collision with our planet.

According to NASA, NEO Surveyor is an advanced project that can help you quickly find, track and study potentially dangerous objects on Earth. Earth-based telescopes are certainly useful for constant monitoring of the night sky, but a space-based infrared telescope will give up its orbital protection.

The NEO Surveyor is going to reach L1 Lagrange from around a million kilometers to take the telescope for at least 5 years during the mission. He will observe the solar system in the infrared range, since such a light is virtually completely blocked by the earth’s atmosphere and almost impossible to be seen at ground level. Because of this, large observories are often unable to detect nearby close-Earth objects. As such, NEO Surveyor can distint dark asteroids and comets with little visible light, because they glow in the infrared spectrum, and are heated by the Sun.

The NEO, in addition, will help to find alienoids traveling toward the Earth as far as the sun from the sun extremely difficult to understand. Even though experiments to try to correct the orbit of asteroids are already already being carried out quite successfully, scientists argue they must first be detected, and NEO Surveyor will allow a game changer in this area.

The equipment will provide data about Earth’s composition, shape, rotation and orbit. While the mission is centered on planetary defense missions, it will help better understand the origin and evolution of asteroids and comets.

The mission will be built upon the successful NOVEGRUS (Ansia Ovali) project. The space telescope, which has been repurposed for the first time since 2011 — a mission of WISE, which began in 2011, was used to detect and study near-Earth objects and showed a high performance in this area. NEO Surveyor is intended to be the first space telescope to be built specifically for planetary defense.

As well, we know that radiators for the passive cooling system are already created, the creation of composite racks that will separate the telescope from the spacecraft’s core technologies has begun with their low thermal conductivity eliminating the interference that a warm device can potentially introduce into the operation of the equipment. We have other projects, including creation of an aluminum mirror.

The mission is funded by the federal government. The launch is scheduled for 2026.
