With over 23 billion downloads and counting, it’s fair to assume that everyone is at least familiar with Outfit7’s Talking Tom & Friends franchise. It’s a huge franchise that spans virtual pets from Endless Runners and includes My Talking Hank: Islands, which puts the spotlight on one of Talking Tom’s friends in a surprisingly fun way.

How to take care of Hank

If you long for the days of Tamagotchis but don’t want to worry about them all day, My Talking Hank: Islands has you covered. It offers a simple care system for your new friend, but it respects your time, which is beautiful.

Throughout the game day, Hank will eliminate three parameters. Sleep, hygiene, and appetite, like a sim but less demanding. Fortunately, these are very easy to correct. Back at home, you have a nice crib, kitchen area and bathroom to take care of Hank’s needs.

The remarkable thing about these care gauges is that they are quite easy to fill. For hygiene, you can brush Hank’s teeth or give him a bath, and for hunger, it’s a simple task to buy food with some of the many coins you have and feed him. Even while sleeping you will fill 1% of the gauge every second. There are no waiting times to work, the fun can continue which is perfect for the child who can’t sit still.

All of them have to be collected.

As you explore the island, you’ll come across many unique items like shells and bugs, and various items like a captain’s hat. By grabbing them, they’ll join your collection shelf and turn into a sticker in your album – a little catalog of what you’ve found on your travels.

In addition to these items, there are other types of stickers to collect and spread across a total of six albums – one for Hank and each of his friends – that you can find by completing mini-games or lying around the island. will get from These and the items above are some good ways to incorporate goals without overdoing them. They work quite well.

    Meet the colorful cast.

You may have noticed that we mentioned Hank’s friends above. Before you get ahead of yourself, this isn’t a cast of characters you already know from the series, but a bunch of new acquaintances you’ll meet during your adventures. To begin with, you’ll only have access to the elephant pal, but as you level up, you can introduce yourself to four other animal companions, each with their own unique abilities to play with. There are specific games. Turtle is big on recycling and will put color-coordinated trash in your can. Meanwhile, the lion will let you give him a new hairstyle, while our personal favorite, the dolphin, wants to play soccer.

North of the island is a ship and a map that shows plans for at least two more islands and six more companions, so more friends to be made. Each of these characters is beautifully designed so that you will always be happy to return to them. Which you will, because when they’re bored they’ll definitely invite you over via the flashing red button.

    The main event

The main draw for My Talking Hank:Islands is, of course, the plethora of mini-games at your feet. You can hardly travel two steps without tripping over a diversion to pass the time, and there’s a huge amount to choose from. Somehow, they all look different too, which is quite impressive.

There’s a beetle outside your door to practice coloring, you can enjoy a sandbox version of Battleships where you try to uncover hidden beach-themed objects, or you can play with your monkey pal. Can try to catch falling bananas. There’s an amazing amount of choices, and they’re all fun in their own way, and perfect to keep you busy for a while.

As you might expect, My Talking Hank: Islands won’t demand your attention for long play sessions, but then again that’s not the point. It makes a cracking family game with its colorful characters and entertaining mini-games. If you want your family to develop some useful skills through games, and see if they’ll let the dog out to the bathroom, My Talking Hank: Islands is one to check out.
