Warzone 2 Season 5 introduces new skins, operators, and weapons, along with Tactical Pets as your companion. With the new season, you can various new cosmetics including a pet named Merlin who can be used in a specific Finishing Move. I was quite excited about this addition, and have obtained Merlin as a companion from the Battle Pass. Here is how you can use and equip a Tactical Pet in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2.
What are Tactical Pets in MW2 & Warzone 2
In Warzone 2 and MW2, players will now have the option to use the Tactical Pets Companion feature in these modes: Multiplayer, Battle Royale, and DMZ. This Tactical Pet is supposed to provide an unparalleled friendship along with a special Finishing Move in combat scenarios. Arthur is the recent addition to Warzone 2 BlackCell, the premium variant of the Battle Pass which will cost you 2500 COD Points. This operator can equip the Tactical Pet known as Merlin as his companion. Merlin looks like an idyllic Secret-Service canine with a golden vest, a collar with his name tag along with an earpiece.
In MW2, operators can use such Tactical Pets, but you must remember that these pets cannot be harmed in any way, meaning other players can neither attack nor shoot at them. Having said that, it is important to remember that these Tactical Pets cannot attack other enemies except for the Finishing Move. So unless that’s your plan, these pets will simply remain your companion. Make sure to equip the Bark and Bite Finishing Move to your operator of choice.
