The Modern Warfare 3 beta is close enough that you can almost smell the slide-cancelling, bunny-hopping, G-fuel-supplementing sweat of players itching to get a headstart on this year’s Call of Duty action.
The upcoming playtest is set to give us a taste of what the game will be like, featuring new movement mechanics and gunsmiths.
But as we prepare for our first act, Sledgehammer Games has now dropped a cinematic trailer that has gifted us with our first glimpse of what maps we’ll actually be reacquainting ourselves with.

The remastered maps of Modern Warfare 2 (2009) have been a focus for players going into Modern Warfare 3, as longtime fans of the franchise look forward to reliving their childhood.
Now, the Modern Warfare 3 Beta maps have been revealed, with four maps available on opening weekend (PlayStation Exclusive).
Those who visit October 6 – 10 will have a choice of Rust, Favela, Estate, and Skidrow to play in, though game modes have yet to be announced. Hopefully there will be a 1v1 gunfight mode for those rust throwers.
Modern Warfare 3 fans will get high-rise action in the beta.
Of course, this list misses out on popular maps like Terminal, but if you just can’t wait to get your fix on some of the other classics, that’s okay, because you have to wait until High Rise enters. Only five more sleeps will be needed. the game
Starting the weekend of Friday the 13th (oooh), Highrise will also be thrown into the mix when its full article was shown a few weeks ago.
The Modern Warfare 3 beta looks set to burn plenty of energy into Call of Duty’s future with nostalgia in the driving seat.
