Who Created Spinstress and Bishop Octopus?

Spinstress and her rogues gallery are just one instance of the recent additions to Spider-Man lore debuting within the Edge of Spider-Verse sequence. News of Spinstress first emerged in August, and longtime Spidey author Dan Slott — who penned the unique Spider-Verse occasion and its sequel — referred to as her the “first singing/talks-to animals Spider-Princess.” Slott praised author David Hein, who developed her together with Irene Sankoff. Both Hein and Sankoff are the creators of the Broadway musical Come Away With Me, which focuses on the lives of residents of the small Canadian city of Gander throughout the week following the September 11 assaults.

Edge of Spider-Verse #4 is written by Jordan Blum, David Hein, Slott and Tee Franklin. The subject boasts artwork by Michael Shelfer, Luciano Vecchio, Ty Templeton and Jethro Morales, colours by Rico Renzi, Brian Reber, Dono Sanchez-Almara and Chris Sotomayor, and letters by VC’s Joe Caramagna.
