Marvel Studios releases the first trailer for Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, giving fans their first look at the multiverse’s greatest threat.


Scott Lang and Hope van Dyne are back in the first trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.


The new video gives fans a glimpse of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s next blockbuster, featuring some new details and a sneak peek at the multiversal menace known as Kang The Conqueror, played by Jonathan Majors. Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lily reprise their roles as the title characters alongside MCU newcomer Kathryn Newton, who takes on the role of Cassie Lang.

Kang isn’t the only villain fans will see in the quantumania trailer. MODOK can be briefly seen terrorizing the heroes of the same name. The hoverchair-bound villain is only seen for a split second and it is currently unknown who is playing him. Patton Oswalt lent his vocal talents to the adult animated series MOD OK which was separate from the MCU. The actor already has a role to play in the sprawling superhero franchise, as he played Pip the Troll in eternal.


What can we expect from Quantumania?

The specific details of Ant-Man and the Wasp: QuantumaniaMarvel’s history is still shrouded in mystery, but director Peyton Reed has assured fans that the narrative will have a major and lasting effect on Marvel’s on-screen world. “There are things happening in this movie that are going to change the Marvel Cinematic Universe permanently,” Reed said. “And it’s fun for us that Scott Lang is at the center of that change.”

These sentiments were echoed by executive producer Brian Gay, who promised that quantumania it will feel different from the previous movies. “At the moment, one thing I’ve enjoyed about this movie is that we always joke that Ant Man Movies are small, but this one is going to be big!” Gay said of the previous movies.”

Beyond these significant ramifications, audiences can also look forward to many more familiar faces. Randall Park is reprising his role as fan-favorite Agent Jimmy Woo, who is just one of several unexpected appearances Reed describes. “Oh yes, there is a lot of fun in store for everyone and some surprising faces that can appear in Quantum Realm,” explained the filmmaker.
