A cinematographer on Joker: Folie a Deux praised Lady Gaga’s upcoming efficiency as Harley Quinn within the sequel movie, calling her a “really cool fit.”


Joker: Folie à Deux cinematographer Lawrence Sher supplied probably insightful reward for Lady Gaga’s upcoming efficiency as Harley Quinn within the upcoming sequel.


In the newest episode of The Hollywood Reporter’s Behind the Screen podcast, Sher mentioned that Gaga is “going to be a really cool fit for this movie and will create a similar kind of magic that Joaquin brought by himself.” He added, “The combination of the two will be exactly what we hope, which is exciting, and we’ll find magic every day on set. Hopefully, we’ll also have a bit of madness in there. We like when there is a little bit of chaos.”

Folie à Deux is ready to start out manufacturing on Nov. 5, 2022, and will likely be filmed in New York and Los Angeles. According to the movie’s official synopsis, “The musical sequel follows Harley Quinn, the Arkham Asylum shrink who falls in love with her patient Arthur Fleck, aka Joker.”

Gaga’s casting as Harley Quinn got here as a shock to some followers, as Margot Robbie has performed that position in Suicide Squad since 2016. Gaga is not the one actor audiences are excited to see within the Joker sequel. Harry Potter‘s Brandon Gleeson not too long ago joined the all-star solid, saying that his resolution got here from working with Joker‘s Joaquin Phoenix prior in The Village and having a superb expertise with him. The actor mentioned that Phoenix’s efficiency as Arthur Fleck/the Joker was an “extraordinary achievement,” and that due to that, he “didn’t have to be asked twice” by Phillips to come back on board.
