Japanese Charts: Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Dominate With Over 2.5 Million Units Sold

We have the latest Japanese chart data, and unsurprisingly, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have completely demolished the competition, selling a staggering 2,537,292 units in the duos’ first week of sale. This milestone was more than enough to knock Splatoon 3 out of the top spot, but Nintendo’s shooter still put up some respectable numbers, selling a total of 36,958 units to bring its total to 3,368,155.

On the other hand, Sonic Frontiers has dropped to number 10 with a total of 5,837 units sold. Having said that, the Switch version continues to prove to be the most popular with consumers, with both the PS5 and PS4 versions in the top ten.

Otherwise, we’ve got a few other newcomers to the lists, including SympathyKiss, card fight!! vanguard dear days (what name), and Monochromatic Mobius: hits and misses forgotten (what Name!) for the PS4.

Needless to say, it looks like Scarlet and Violet’s technical hiccups couldn’t hinder first-week sales, though it’ll be interesting to see if the games can keep up the momentum now that players are more aware of the many. Many problems.
