A Mac isn’t just for work these days, with many owners wondering whether they can play Diablo 4 on their macOS machine. With Diablo 4 incorporating lots of live service elements like a daily shop into its gameplay, bringing the acclaimed ARPG on the go has never been more desirable. Installing the game on a portable laptop would make that process much more simple.

What’s more, Diablo has a history of being available to play on macOS, with the last iteration of the series, Diablo 3, running remarkably well on the platform – especially on newer machines.

However, not all Macs are created equally, and Apple’s transition to its own silicon throws yet another spanner into the works.

So, keep reading to learn whether you can play Diablo 4 on macOS, with the M1, M2, and Intel hardware configurations explained.

Diablo 4 is currently not available to play on macOS, meaning Apple users can’t officially play the game on their laptops or desktop computers.

The previous entry, Diablo 3, did get a macOS release at the same time as the Windows launch, so the fact this next game doesn’t have support may suggest Blizzard has no interest in supporting the platform at the moment.

This may change in the future, with Apple looking to take gaming more seriously with both new hardware and macOS software updates. However, as it stands, Diablo 4 is currently not officially supported on macOS in its current state.

However, even though there is no official macOS release, there are some ways you can still play the game on an Apple device.

    • Begin by downloading Boot Camp from the website, and then install Windows 10 or 11 to macOS
    • Download the Windows Battle.net client, then purchase and install Diablo 4
    • Load up the game and enjoy, though you will likely need to play with drastically lowered graphical settings

Your other option for playing Diablo 4 on macOS involves the OneCast software and an Xbox console, so you can stream the game to your M1 or M2 Mac

Here’s how to play Diablo 4 on macOS using OneCast:

    • Download OneCast and install it on your Mac
    • Connect your Mac and Xbox console to the same network
    • Launch OneCast and sign in to your Xbox account
    • Select Diablo 4 on your Xbox, and begin playing on your Mac
