Intel has expanded the cost of its 12th generation processors (Alder Lake) by 10 percent in its Ark Online database. In some cases, this increased the cost of the chip by about five nine dollars. The new Raptor Lake processors, which have a lot of cores and performance, are cheaper than the previous generation models. The price increase will likely affect the 13th generation, which will give AMD a clear advantage.

Intel announced a future price hike for processors in the first quarter of 2022, but no details were shared. The company confirmed this message in June under the earnings report. This included a loss of more than 500 million dollars in the second quarter of 2022 (one of the worst in history). Even then, Intel didn’t specify how much more expensive products will be.
That twenty-five percent increase affected many important models. The cost of the most powerful Core i9-12900K increased to $59. The table shows that the Core i9-13900K and Core i7-13700K are significantly cheaper than their counterparts of the previous generation:
The same increase applies to F-series models that don’t have integrated graphics, usually sold at discount. The cheapest processors with TDPs of 65 and 35 W (not named K) have also risen in price.
So far there is a paradox of selling much more productive processors at cheaper prices. This circumstance is good for the future of Raptor lake solutions. This is why their prices will be going up by more than 10 %.
Intel Raptor Lake has a significant performance/price advantage currently. This applies to the competitive AMD Ryzen 7000 solutions. The price of the processor could change the balance of power in the processor market, especially when the price drops.
Remark that AMD has recently significantly reduced its price of the latest processors.
