The Season 4 Reloaded update added the special Bit Party playlist modifier to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer. The playlist features a retro-style pixelated map and characters; and is accompanied by a theme pack and a limited-time event. Here’s an overview of the special aspects of the mode and how to play it.
Play the Bit Party game mode in CoD Modern Warfare 3
Bit Party is a playlist modifier, meaning it takes regular MW3 Multiplayer maps and game modes and adds a unique flavor to them. For example, one of the maps in the group includes Bitvela, which is an 8-bit pixel art version of the original Favela map. More importantly, all Bit Party playlist operators follow the same pixelated theme and are presented in the same way.
The most interesting element of this limited time mode is the sizes of the operator’s heads. As you get more kills, your head size increases along with the hitbox, meaning you are more visible to enemies and become a bullet magnet. On the plus side, a larger skull allows you to score more points and capture objectives faster. Your head size can be seen below the health bar in the lower left corner.
If you kill an enemy with a large head, you will receive bonus points for your team. Plus, you get XP bonuses and special tags like Balloon Head Saboteur, Inflating Ego, and Parade Floating. Another interesting aspect of the Bit Party playlist is the pixelated death effect (see image), which is a nice touch and adds to the theme. It would have been even better if the weapons also followed the same 8-bit art style in this mode.

You can get the following maps in the Bit Party playlist. I would suggest voting for Bitvela if it’s an option, as the map blends well with the retro-style aesthetic.
