The Carian Glintstone staff in the Elden Ring can be effective in creating a mid-level mage. This is how you can get the Staff in the game.
If you play as a mage in Elden Ring, some items are considered “must haves”. From staves to enchantments to talismans, there’s no shortage of equipment to upgrade your build. While it’s great to create a specific type of building, it also takes a lot of time and effort to track down particular items in the Lands Between.
However, some diamonds in the rough can be found simply by completing a dungeon rather than having to follow a long questline. The Carian Glintstone Staff meets these requirements and is a relatively easy weapon to retrieve.
Retrieving the Carian Glintstone Staff
The Carian Glintstone staff is located in the Carian Study Hall, east of Liurnia de los Lagos. Before we delve into how to get it back, it’s important to note that if you have followed Ranni’s questline and placed the inverted statue on its pedestal, you will need to remove the statue to return the study hall to normal and retrieve the staff.
Once you enter the original study room, head to the back where you’ll find an elevator; Ride this elevator up and start your ascent up the stairs to the left. There will be a bunch of annoying enemies led by a main mage. Once you’ve dealt with the enemies, head up to the top floor to find the item resting on a bench. This item will be the Carian Glintstone Staff.
The Staff Sword Spell Enhancer
This staff is an excellent choice for mid-game mages who have amassed many Carian sword spells. It does not come with a weapon ability and cannot be infused with Ashes of War, but can be upgraded using Smithing Stones. According to your description, “Staff embedded with a blue glintstone. One of two types of Carian cane. Given to sorcerers so they can play the role of a knight. Improves the spells of the Carian sword. If you want to create a solid mid-level mage that focuses on Carian sorcery, this is the staff to get.
The Carian Glintstone staff scales with intelligence and strength and increases the power of Sword Sorceries by 15%. A couple of examples of spells powered by this passive effect are Adula’s Moonblade and Carian Slicer. It is important to note that there are spells named Carian, but these spells will not be powered by this Staff, but by the Carian Glintblade Staff. Another cool feature of this Staff is that since Carian Sword Sorcery’s boost is its passive ability, you can wield this Staff in your left hand while using your main Staff to create more depth in your character build.
