How to get Taraxippos and his God Roll in Destiny 2

Taraxippos is a Legendary Scout Rifle added in Destiny 2 Guardian Games 2023, and its 200 RPM fire rate and Light Frame archetype make it a popular competitor in both PvE and PvP. Here’s how to get Taraxippos in Destiny 2.

Where to get Taraxippos in Destiny 2

Named after a spirit from Greek mythology who enjoyed scaring horses during the ancient Olympic Games, the Legendary Scout Rifle is obtained through the Destiny 2 Guardian Games 2023. As of this writing, we don’t know the exact method to get it and we won’t know until the event starts on May 2, 2023.

The Guardian Games 2022 Legendary Weapon was The Title Submachine Gun and was obtained as random drop when handing out medallions, so we assume that the method to obtain Taraxippos will be similar this year. We will update this guide once we receive confirmation.

Taraxippos PvE and PvP God Rolls in Destiny 2

You’ll want to take out as many Taraxippos as possible to increase your chances of getting a god roll drop. And depending on what the intended use for the weapon is will determine which God Roll you choose: PvE either pvp. Personally, I play a lot of competitive PvP, so I’ll try Explosive Payload to create an AoE and hopefully kill two birds with one stone, or two Guardians with one bullet.

here is our Recommended PvE God Roll for Taraxippos in Destiny 2:

• Barrel: polygonal striate—Increases stability (+10 Stability).
• Magazine: tactical magazine—Increases stability, reload speed, and magazine size (+5 Stability, +10 Magazine, +10 Reload Speed).
• Feature #1: fourth time the charm—Quickly landing four precision hits adds two bullets to the magazine. The counter resets if there are no precision kills within two seconds.
• Feature #2: Breeding—Precision final blows or quickly defeating enemies with a non-precision weapon spawns a Threadling at the target location.

here is our Recommended PvP God Roll for Taraxippos in Destiny 2:

• Barrel: polygonal striate—Increases stability (+10 Stability).
• Magazine: precise rounds—Increases range (Range +10).
• Feature #1: Zen moment—Reduces recoil and flinch the more damage you deal. Certain weapons stack. Does the following for a second after a hit:
  • Reduce recoil.
  • Adds resistance to Finch.
  • Reduces weapon movement.
  • Eliminates reticle bounce.
• Feature #2: explosive charge—Projectiles create an area-of-effect detonation on impact.
