How to get Slush Ice in Disney Dreamlight Valley: The Unknown Flavour quest

If you want to know how to get Slush Ice in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll also need to know how to complete The Unknown Flavour quest.

Slush Ice is a cooking ingredient that unlocks many different desert dishes in Disney Dreamlight Valley. The catch is, you can only get the ingredient by progressing Remy’s friendship quests in the game.

How to unlock The Unknown Flavour quest

To unlock The Unknown Flavour quest and Slush Ice as an ingredient for dishes, you must complete the following first:

• Reach friendship level 10 with Remy – the easiest way to do this is to hang out with Remy and perform his assigned tasks. Make sure you deliver him his favourite three gifts a day too.
• Unlock WALL-E from his realm in the Dream Castle.
• Unlock the Frosted Heights biome for 10,000 Dreamlight.

How to complete The Unknown Flavour quest and unlock Slush Ice

Once you have reached level 10 friendship with Remy, speaking to him will start the ‘Unknown Flavour’ quest. Remy has received a memory of frozen desserts, dishes he used to make before the Forgetting.

To complete the quest, follow these steps:

• Speak to Merlin.
• Go inside Merlin’s house and interact with his bookshelf (bottom right side of his house).
• Pick up the fallen recipe, this will detail that you can make Slush from Purified Night Shards and Snow.
• Collect three Purified Night Shards. You can make these at a crafting station by combining five Night Shards with one Dream Shard. Both types of shards can be gained from clearing away Night Thorns or from digging in sparking spots on the ground.
• Once you have three, give them to WALL-E who will grind them for you.

• Collect 15 Snowballs from the Frosted Heights biome. You can get Snowballs from the ground in the biome, from digging, clearing away ice piles or as a random stock rotation in Kristoff’s Stall.
• Craft Ice Slush at a crafting station and give it to Remy.
• Click on the Vanilla Ice Cream recipe in your inventory.
• Make Vanilla Ice Cream in a cooking pot. To do so you’ll need Sugarcane, Vanilla, Milk and Slush Ice (which will now be available to purchase at Remy’s store with the other dairy products).
• Return to Remy and receive your rewards.

For completing the quest, you will now have access to Slush Ice from Remy’s restaurant, which will unlock many more dessert recipes. You will also receive some XP and Remy’s Kitchen Shelf furniture.
