Diablo 4 is introducing some new Uniques to the game with the release of Season 1. This will be a common occurrence as we progress through the seasons as Blizzard strives to keep the game fresh.

Where to get Season 1 Uniques in Diablo 4

Like many of the unique items worth having in Diablo 4, the Season 1 pool will drop from enemies at World Tier 4. This means you’ll need to progress a lot throughout the season before you can start looting them. However, you can still take a look at what they do and find out if any of them are worth following.

    • Ahavarion Spear of Lycander: Gain a random Shrine effect for 10-20 seconds after killing an Elite enemy. It can only happen once every 30 seconds.
    • azure wrath (Barbarian): Lucky Hit – Your basic abilities have up to 20% chance to Freeze enemies for 3 seconds, dealing 0.75-1.5 cold damage.
    • butcher (druid): Debilitating Roar and Blood Howl deal 0.5-1.0 damage to nearby poisoned enemies.
    • Uncovered Wall (Necromancer): Lucky Strike: While you have a Bone Storm active, hitting an enemy outside of a Bone Storm has up to a 5-25% chance to spawn an additional Bone Storm at their location. Each of your active Sacrifice buffs increases chance by 25% and the total number of additional Bone Storms you can have by +1.
    • Eagle Horn (Rogue): Piercing Shot has a 30-80% chance to fire an arrow that bounces off walls and the stage. Hitting enemies from behind with Piercing Shot will make them vulnerable for 3 seconds.
    • The Oculus (Sorcerer): Get the teleportation enchantment effect for free. When you evade using the teleportation charm, you are taken to a random location.

Blizzard warns that the Ahavarion Spear of Lycander is a super rare item, so it could be much more difficult than the others. Reading through the ability, it’s easy to see why the developers made it as rare as it is.

Which Unique is better in Diablo 4 Season 1?

Uniques will be valuable in their own right, and it’s hard to say for sure which one will be the best for your character. The Sorcerer will be strong for mobility, while the Rogue looks like it will work well in compositions that take advantage of Vulnerable damage.

Note that the new season also has a ton of new skins to collect that will work within your build. With so much loot available, it’s a good thing respecting isn’t too difficult in Diablo 4.
