Since The First Descendant was only released on July 2, 2024, the game is expected to have some ups and downs, especially with the number of players that are congesting the server. Free-to-play games are usually quite popular, but the developers of The First Descendant probably didn’t expect over 200,000 people to log in and play just hours after its release.
What is Caliber in The First Descendant?
Caliber is the in-game currency of The First Descendant. You buy Caliber with your own real money and then the amount of Caliber you bought shows up in your game. Or it should, but that’s why you’re here, right?
If your Caliber purchase hasn’t immediately arrived in your in-game inbox, the first thing I can suggest is giving it a couple of minutes. As I mentioned above, thousands of people are trying out this new looter-shooter right now, and many of them are probably buying Caliber to escape the basic look of their starter Descendants. I know I want to; it’s weird being surrounded by hundreds of players who all look the same.
Ways to fix your Calibre not showing up in The First Descendant
There are a few basic fixes you can try if your Caliber purchase doesn’t appear after a few minutes. I suggest you try them in order before you begin. Submit a support request To the team of The First Descendant:
- Update your mailbox. Leave Albion Center, travel back and head to one of the mailboxes that are installed around the center.
- Restart your game. The First Descendant is having some issues right now, including stuttering and lag, so try turning everything off and reloading the game.
- Check your Internet connection. This game relies heavily on your Wi-Fi; it’s a collaborative game where you can see players running back and forth all the time. You may have disconnected without realizing it.
- Wait a little longer. Ideally, this should last up to an hour. Again, the servers are probably a bit overloaded right now and you’re not the only player who didn’t receive their caliber right away.
- Please submit a support ticket. At this point, submitting a support request to NEXON is a good idea.
- Get a refund through Steam. When you check out, Steam will remind you that it is willing to refund purchases like this within 48 hours, as long as they haven’t been transferred or modified in any way. I can’t guarantee this, of course – I don’t work for Steam – but it’s something I noticed when researching this issue.
