While so-called hot tub streamers are a fad that seems to be fading on Twitch, for some the trend won’t go away fast enough. That’s why it may be necessary to block, hide, or remove them from your recommendations. Here’s how to block hot tub streamers from being viewed on Twitch.

How to Say “You’re Not Interested” in Hot Tub Streams

Twitch has a built-in way to hide streams that won’t interest you. This can be done both from the front page of Twitch and the All Categories section, but nowhere else on the website. To do this, navigate to Twitch at the Categories on the home page or the All Categories page and look for the Pools, Hot Tubs, and Beaches category. Click the three vertical dots next to the category and select the Not Interested button, with a small crossed out eye icon. This will add them to your Not Interested list and these channels will no longer be recommended to you.

Why do Hot Tub Streamers keep appearing in my recommendations?

If you have followed these steps and are still seeing hot tub streamers, there could be a few reasons. Twitch works on an algorithm, and if you’ve already watched hot tub streamers, they’ll still recommend their streams to you. The best way to avoid this is to directly select the option I’m not interested when recommended on the main page.

Also, some streamers may try to get around this by not using the correct categories. In this case, you can report streamers for not using the correct category. You can also try blocking broader streaming categories, like Chat Only or IRL, by selecting Not Interested on the main page or in the All Categories section. This will prevent most of the water flows from the hot tub.

Unfortunately, there is no foolproof way to block all types of particular content on Twitch at this time, and a streamer who appears on the front page can still bypass your Not interested ready. You can view and remove things from your Not Interested list at any time by going to your Profileselecting settingsand so recommendations. Here you can remove any of the streams or categories you want to watch again.
