New character posters for Disney’s long-awaited Hocus Pocus sequel have a good time the return of the witchy Sanderson sisters.


A group of three character posters for Hocus Pocus 2 affords followers a brand new take a look at the enduring Sanderson sisters.


The posters had been shared to the official Hocus Pocus 2 Twitter web page, every that includes one of many three villainous Sanderson sisters. Bette Midler’s Winifred, Kathy Najimy’s Mary and Sarah Jessica Parker’s Sarah are every solid in shiny but ominous inexperienced, pink and purple gentle respectively. All three actors have returned to reprise their roles from Disney’s 1993 cult basic Hocus Pocus.

The first movie launched the world to the Sanderson sisters as a trio of near-immortal witches from the 1600s who had been inadvertently resurrected within the current day. Hocus Pocus 2‘s official synopsis notes, “It’s been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame Candle and resurrected the 17th-century sisters, and they are looking for revenge. Now it is up to three high-school students to stop the ravenous witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on Salem before dawn on All Hallow’s Eve.”

Omri Katz, who starred as Max Dennison within the authentic movie and retired from performing in 2002, beforehand mentioned not being requested to return for the sequel. “People have been asking, and unfortunately, I’m not in it,” Katz confirmed. “I think it’ll be good for everyone who loved the original! I hope fans will go see it. I know I will.”

Ahead of the sequel’s launch, creator David Kirschner has revealed his concept for a Buffy the Vampire Slayer-esque Hocus Pocus spinoff sequence. Kirschner defined, “Underneath all of those headstones as you see when the kids run in the ceremony and they go underground [in the first film]… I wanted to really explore a world that lives beneath Salem of things that go bump in the night in a Buffy the Vampire kind of way”

Hocus Pocus 2 premieres on Disney+ on Friday, Sept. 30.
