Granblue Fantasy Versus is the fighting game derived from the wildly popular browser-based role-playing game Granblue Fantasy. Taking the cast of the beloved RPG series and bringing them to life in a fast-paced fighting game, Granblue Fantasy Versus is an amazing and competitive title in its own right. But, like all fighting games, there are some good characters, great characters, and just plain terrible characters. We are here to provide you with detailed information with our version of Granblue Fantasy Versus Tier List,

    Granblue Fantasy Versus Tier List

Below we’ve put together our tier list of the best Granblue Fantasy Versus characters. This is based on our own experience, with all characters, including DLC. Like all fighting game tier lists, a great singles player can take a character out of a low level and into something viable. With that being said, here is our list:

    S-level

    • lancelot
    • percival
    • Transport
    • Belial

These characters are on the broken edge. They have few weak matchups, but can usually get through them. Percival just beats almost everyone. Lancelot’s mobility is amazing and he is very difficult to block and damage. Ferry shuts out people and has great chip and summon damage. And Belial’s reach and unique defensive options make him a nightmare to play against. Choose the first of these characters before all the others!

    a level

    • Katherine
    • charlotta
    • zeta
    • Djeeta
    • Vaseraga

These characters are great, but not on that absolutely broken S-tier level. Djeeta is incredibly powerful and feels like she’s playing like a more active and powerful granny. Katalina, on the other hand, has such good defensive and gap-closing options that she avoided dropping a level when the DLC characters were introduced, despite being a beginner and all-rounder.

    B-level

    • lowain
    • meter
    • Beelzebub
    • narmaya
    • zooey
    • seox

B-tier characters have a lot of bad matchups against higher-tier ones, but they can win due to good combos and supers. Lowain fits the bill here, with good juggling, some calls and big and super. Also like Lowain, many of this level have a trick that must be played. If you figure out the trick, you can beat them.

    C-level

    • grandmother
    • The diva
    • Avatar
    • eustachian
    • Viray
    • Yuel

At this level, characters have either fallen by the wayside due to DLC releases, or were simply never that good to begin with. Gran is really a beginner character and while he is a good all-rounder, he has a lot of bad matchups. Yuel and Ladiva have similar problems. You can win with these characters, but you will also have innate difficulties with them.

    D-level

Characters in tier D will struggle with a lot of matchups and just aren’t worth playing unless you really love the character. For example, many of Soriz’s moves, while paying homage to traditional fighting games, fight against the over-the-top attacks of Granblue Fantasy Versus. He is outraged and has low damage compared to characters that are easier to learn and run.
