Gotham Knights’ Matchmaking Issue Will Soon Receive A Fix

Gotham Knights has been out for more than two days now, but some PC gamers are still unable to experience co-op in the game as they continually get matchmaking errors. The developer behind the game recently confirmed that he identified the issue and it will be fixed soon.

If you are playing Gotham Knights on PC, then you might have faced an error in co-op stating “Failed to join session”. While it might be the most annoying thing you can face in a co-op oriented experience, it is in fact an issue with the game, and nothing can fix it right now except an update from the developers.

The official Gotham Knights Twitter account confirmed that the development team is aware of the matchmaking issue on PC and will receive a fix very soon. Whether it would be a back-end fix or a downloadable update remains to be seen, but you should probably be able to access co-op in a few days at the latest.

Some players have mentioned that changing the host or restarting the game would sometimes fix the issues as a workaround, but it is not a permanent solution, and there is still a chance of facing the above mentioned error during the matchmaking phase.

Gotham Knights officially launched on October 21 to mixed reviews from fans and media alike. A quick look at the game. steam page reveals that it’s probably nowhere near the Batman Arkham franchise from a community standpoint. Players mainly criticize the game for its unoptimized PC port, as well as the lack of a deep combat system with too much focus on its co-op side instead of the single player side.

That said, the number of players who have enjoyed the game in general is not small.
