Fruit Battlegrounds Patch Notes Update 17: July 2, 2024

Fruit Battlegrounds Update 17 has introduced the legendary Flame V2 fruit, which can be evolved from the Flame Fruit. Another quality of life update that makes me happy is the ability to hold the M1 attack instead of clicking all the time. In addition to new content, the developers have spent their time implementing balance changes and squashing bugs.

    • Dark earthquake: This fruit’s unique abilities, Anti Quake and Neo Kurouzu Combo, have increased cooldowns and slightly reduced stun and knockback effects.
    • Ice V2: Ice V2’s overall damage is reduced with a nerf to M1’s damage and an increased activation time for Piercing Glacier. Ice Skate also drains stamina like Light V2’s flight, increasing Ice Hail’s cooldown. However, Ice Hail gains improved hitbox and guard-breaking properties.
    • Leopard: This fruit’s mobility and combo potential are affected by increased cooldowns and stamina drain for Predators Prowl and Afterimage Combo, along with increased cooldowns for Spiral Kick and Transformation.
    • Poison: Chlorine Frenzy’s maximum hold time has been reduced, and Toxic Geyser now breaks opponents’ guards.
    • Dragon V2: In addition to receiving a small EXP buff and increased duration for Blazing Torch, Dragon V2 also sees an increase to the cooldown of Thunder Bagua and Beast Bellow, along with a slight increase to the end delay of Beast Bellow. Additionally, Blazing Torch no longer buffs Bolo’s Frenzy stun.
    • TSRubber: This fruit’s attack and mobility options have been fixed. The Jet Gun’s aiming bug has been fixed, and the stamina consumption of Bungee Dash, Kong Gun, and Mirror Flight has been increased. X-Flash now consumes stamina while held and has received a stun nerf.

    • Mass: Unperformed uses of the Lotus Mass combo now have a longer cooldown penalty, and Buzz Cut slightly drains stamina over time. Anemone’s cooldown is also increased by 1 second.
    • Dragon V1: Tatsumaki, a powerful move, can now be blocked no matter where the opponent is facing. Additionally, its final hit breaks the guard.
    • Light V2: This fruit’s aerial dominance is addressed with increased stamina drain for Mirror Flight, increased cooldown for Solar Grenade, and additional stamina drain when holding X-Flash. Light V2’s damage is also slightly reduced with nerfs to Spear M1’s damage, Crushing Judgement’s stun, and Solar Grenade’s stun.
    • Lightning: While receiving a damage buff from Crushing Judgement, Lightning loses the guaranteed final hit on a fully charged Projective Burst if the opponent leaves the area while blocking. Crashing Thunder’s cooldown is also increased.
    • Soul: This fruit is undergoing significant changes. Scorching Sickle gains guard-breaking properties in base and mode, while Zeus Meadow loses its invincibility frames in base form. Additionally, Crimson Pillar’s damage is nerfed, and both Enthral Grasp (base and mode) and Zeus Meadow (mode) receive adjustments to their activation times and functionality.
