It was an interesting year for emulation this year. It’s not easy to name the best Android emulator of 2022, since all the hardworking dudes have been infiltrated each year on their projects. The open-source Switch emulator has a common name for that year, so we decided to stick to Skyline.
What’s Skyline?
Skyline is a Nintendo Switch Emulator for Android devices. This is a codenamed program for Switchs. The official website suggests that a small team of ten people maintains this open-source software and its development.
As an emulator, Skyline can be used for Nintendo Switch games on Android devices. As long as we have seen, it works well.
Why is Skyline our ticket?
We picked up the emulator as the best Android emulator in 2022 because of the current-gen emulation of the current-gen element. I can’t imagine that a virtual world that would be real in this moment, would be so happy to see the games running very well on different devices like us live in the future?
We saw Pokemon Shield, OMORI, Super Meat Boy and many others running at blistering framerates. The community is dedicated to non only testing games, but spreading the news about their trial and error to others, helping other people. Teamwork gives dream work.
Normally, you need to engage in emulation with new games. Skylines focus on the Nintendo Switch brought current-gen titles to phones, tablets, and sometimes even smart whiteboards.
What next?
The project is in progress, and from what we saw from the prototype build, Skyline Edge, there is much to attend to in the future for Team Skyline.
That’s not all we need to be excited about next year, either. The Vita3K seems to be ready for release sooner rather than later. Our eyes are turning on the latest trends in emulation.
