I found this to be one of the harder achievements, so here’s a little guide for you.
How to get Lone Wolf Achievement
General points
- The key to this is time management. It’s important to make sure you know what the order of things is, so I recommend you get the Savior’s achievement at least once with Jeremy, Father Bernard, and Bill.
- Don’t shoot anyone or anything for two reasons. One is that you literally need every last bullet you can find, the other is that the noise caused by the gun will eventually bring more undead, making it impossible to survive.
- I haven’t found a way to use a car and live alone, and I don’t think it can be done. This can save time traveling from one location to another, but your gas is used elsewhere because playing it safe means you won’t be traveling as far anyway.
- Never give Bill alcohol or pain medication unless being kind to him or being around him counts as working with you – this is if you hurt him. Give something for.
- There are some very small things that you need to do in the last minutes before nightfall, like closing and locking the door, which will be capitalized, underlined, bold, and italics, because it’s stupid. It’s the little things that can easily cost you the game and you’ll have to start the whole game over just because you forgot to close the hatch or something.
Map
- You have to visit each location once to enter what it is.
- Each location will take 10 minutes to walk if you are right next to the location, 20 minutes if you are further away.
- I wasn’t able to find a way to use the car and survive alone, because the best way to use up the gas you can get is to fence.
- Here’s the full map for you to view ahead of time.
- The center is the main base.
- On the upper right is the store.
- Above left is the gas station.
- Bottom left is the crash site.
- On the lower right is the church.
Items Needed + Locations
- There are many more items not listed here, but these are the only ones you need.
- Shovel – on central base, left.
- Gold Key – Garbage is outside the base.
- Wires – Garbage is outside the base.
- Wire Cutter – To the left of the outer base.
I didn’t know this area existed on my first go around, so here’s a screenshot of where it is and where to click.
- Tablets – As far as I know, there are four:
- One is in the wall to the left of the outer base.
- One is in front of the church, fronted by a wooden post.
- One is in the gas station, across from the front most gas pump.
- The last one is just inside the employee’s office at the gas station, tucked under an armchair.
- Gas Can – Leaning against the wall outside a gas station.
- Water Bottle – On the shelf inside the gas station.
- Coins – Inside the register, in the gas station.
- Rubber hose – gas station employees only rooms inside.
- Shopping cart – enclosed in a trolley at the front of the store.
- SPARE WIRE FENCE – In front of the store, behind Jeremy.
- Gun – On the ground at the accident scene, by the police car.
- Cement Bag – Outside the church, leaning to the right.
- Bricks – Behind the cement bag.
Steps + Time taken.
8 hours left.
- Pick up the shovel, golden key, wires, bullet and wire cutter.
- Go to the right and click on the spot in the fence to leave, go to the lower right location (Church).
7 hours 50 minutes left.
- Pick up the ax and bullet
- Leave and go to the upper right location (Gas Station).
7 hours 40 minutes left.
- Pick up the bullet and gas canister
- go inside
- Pick up water and coins
- Use the ax on the door to get in, as it is locked.
- Pick up the bullet and the rubber hose
- Leave and go to the top left location (Store).
7 hours 30 minutes left.
- Use shopping cart trolley coin to get shopping cart.
- To pick up bulky items, you always have to manually click them into the shopping cart.
- Use the shopping cart to get the spare wire fence behind Jeremy.
- Leave and go to the bottom left location (crash site).
7 hours 20 minutes left.
- Pick up the gun, load each bullet individually by dragging it to the gun.
- You should have a total of 4 bullets in the gun
- Use the rubber hose on the police car, then the gas can
- Leave and go back down to the right (the church).
7 hours 10 minutes left.
- Use the shopping cart on the bag of cement and bricks to pick them up.
- Leave and return to center (main base).
7 hours left.
- Do this before doing anything else, enter the base and use the ax on the bill.
- Place a bag of cement and a bottle of water on the sandbox next to the body of the bill
- Use the shovel on the box to mix it up.
- It will take 10 minutes.
- Don’t use the axe, you’ll run out of time because it takes 40 minutes.
6 hours 50 minutes left.
- Use the bricks on the window to block it.
- It will take 2 hours 50 minutes.
4 hours left.
- Use the spare fence in the fence gap outside the base to repair it.
- It will take 3 hours 30 minutes.
30 minutes left.
- Use the wires and gas on the generator with the fence.
- Turn on the generator.
- Go back inside, lock the door, lock the door with the gold key
- Go back inside, all the way to the left, and use the bolt cutter on the padlock on the floor.
- Go under the hatch, close the hatch, and click on the clock.
Congratulations! You barely survived by the skin of your teeth, 30 minutes left!
