Disney Dreamlight Valley is filled with exciting characters and more characters to follow, each with their own unique quest lines to complete. However, these characters also have schedules for when they are sleeping and when they are available. Since the game is connected to your local time, this can make it easier to match activities or a bit trickier depending on your real life schedule. This is how you can keep track of characters and determine the best times to interact and complete quests as they become available.

If you’re having trouble completing quests because characters are asleep, don’t worry! There will never be a time when all the characters are asleep simultaneously. Some characters prefer to go out at night, while others are early risers. Some of your most essential quest characters, like Merlin, never sleep, so you can interact with them at any time. The key is to keep track of the best times you can interact with each character.

However, keep in mind that when the characters are sleeping, their homes will also be off limits during that time. Specific places like Scrooge’s shop or Chez Remy restaurant are open 24/7. You’ll want to plan all of your activities and quests around available times or wait until they reopen. Here are all the sleep schedules for the characters available right now:

You can tell when a character is sleeping by opening your map and locating the sleep icon at your starting location. When they wake up, this symbol will disappear and you will be able to see them wandering around again. Note that characters may also spend time in shops, which may be one reason you might not see them in the Valley. If their matching face icon is over Chez Remy or Scrooge’s shop, that means they’re bound to spend an hour or two inside, and you’ll need to enter those places to talk to them.

Even if the character you want to talk to is asleep, there are still plenty of activities you can do while you wait: gardening, decorating, cooking, developing friendships, or even completing other available quests. Make the most of your time by keeping track of past times. Don’t forget to check back as new characters are added.
