Despicable Me: Minion Rush, Gameloft’s hit endless runner, is getting a major new update and is set to feature new content inspired by the fourth film in Illumination’s hit film series. The latest entry in the series is set to be released in the United States on July 3rd, with new content already included!
The new update will feature a plan to steal the Honey Badger from wannabe villains Pappy and Lazy Pass Bone, aided by the minions of course. There’s also new World Games special missions to enjoy, and a new outfit for your minions to wear called Rainfield.

Despicable mobile
It’s strange to think that the original Despicable Me was the first feature film from Studio Illumination (backed by Paris-based animation studio McGuff) and launched a hugely successful franchise. Minion Rush itself is hugely successful, having been downloaded over a billion times and running strong for over ten years.
It seems that, while some may find Steve Carell’s Guru and his little yellow minions a little squeamish, they aren’t losing steam anytime soon. Especially with another movie around the corner that is sure to generate even more interest in the series.
