Dave Bautista had a lucrative career. The Spectre actor turned out to be a pro wrestler before he turned into acting, where he excelled a lot. Sorry for the fact that the 53-year-old is just saying goodbye to his most famous role, Drax the Destroyer, in the Guardians of the Galaxy series.

The first Guardians of the Galaxy film, released in 2014, was by Bautista. He has now been acting in two films with the Avengers, Thor: Love and Thunder, The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special (a television special), and two movies with the Guardians of the Galaxy, with the second half coming up in May 2023.
However, everything is done, and Bautista has confirmed that he hasn’t left the role behind. The wrestler-turned-actor confirmed his departure during a recently published GQ profile where he expressed his relief to leave behind that character. Since Drax the Destroyer was his breakout role as a actor, he stated he doesn’t want it to be his legacy, even since he was a teen in the past for almost a decade.
In his words, “I am very grateful for Drax.” I love her. But there’s a relief…that’s over. It wasn’t all pleasant. It was difficult to play that role. The process of putting makeup on me was going to irritate me. That’s a silly song, and I’m eager to play a more dramatic act.
Bautista was an accomplished actor, and a leftist must quit Drax due to his desire to become a successful actor.
However, for fans of that silly yet lovable character, Bautista tweeted a tweet that confirmed it wasn’t going anywhere. His tweet was that the character would become recast, and a new actor would be hired in his stead if the character would feature in future MCU films.
Drax is going nowhere. This dude is coming! By the time G3 comes out, I will be 54 yrs old for gods sake! im expecting everything to start sagging any second now.

I don’t think that the Dune actor will say that he’ll let Drax leave. Although it is unclear how the character of Bautistas will exit the role, some fans speculated he’ll die at some point in the movie. The movie trailer is emotional and James Gunn, the director, noted in the past that the Guardians won’t succeed all the time.
Since his debut as Drax, Bautista has shown his acting chops in a number of films and series. They include See, Riddick, Blade Runner 2049, Arm of the Dead, The Silent Film of the Night: A Knives Out Mystery and Dune. Apart from Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3, he also stars in M. Night Shyamalan psychological horror film Knock at the Cabin as well as in the Second installment of the Denis Villeneuve science fiction film Dune, all of which are about to be released in 2023.
By the way, Bautista recently revealed his desire to star in the upcoming Gears of War adaptation of Netflix.
