CD Projekt Red has embraced the eulogy of Cyberpunk. The game has recently won the Steams Labor of Love award for the year 2022, while the tragedy came true.

The studio faces a series of classes-action lawsuits over the awe of Cyberpunk 2077.

In relation to Cyberpunk 2077s rocky start, the Polish studio makes a $1.8 million settlement for a class-action suit against the investors. CD Projekt Red faced up to four separate class-action suits that were merged into one common action.

The group asserts that the studio didn’t hide the real state of the game to investors when it was released. The stock of CD Projekt Red fell sharply after the botched launch of Cyberpunk 2077 causing the investors to lose money. The game was plagued with game-breaking issues and made it uncomplicable for the older generation consoles.

The settlement sum covers settlement costs for eligible class members and taxes. The eligible class members are investors who have purchased CD Projekt Red stocks from the period between January 16 and December 17 o’clock.

The sum of 1,8 million dollars will settle the legal costs of the lawsuit.

The technical problems that caused the game to launch were the root of the project. Initially the RPG version of Open-world Action was designed to have a multiplayer component after release. The feature has been scrapped because the studio wants to fix the numerous issues that players have experienced.

The game was damaged in the bug, and taken off the PlayStation store a couple of months ago, while the studio focused on the issues. Cyberpunk 2077 returned to the PlayStation store on June 2021, after several patches were made to that game.

The game resurgence started in February 2022 with the release of the version 1.15 update. The patch had a next-gen update and a free DLC.

Cyberpunk relaunched its revival as well as the Edgerunner update and the Netflix anime Cyberpunk Edgerunner. The game became the single-player title on Steam most-played and subsequently won The Witcher 3’s record with the biggest number of players concurrently on the platform.

CD Projekt Red is awaiting the release of Phantom Liberty.

CD Projekt Red is now working on Cyberpunk 2077, and is waiting for the release of the Phantom-Leverage expansion. The studio is already making a sequel for the brand “Orion” in Cyberpunk 2077. Production will start in 2024.

CD Projekt Red is taking on multiple projects. The studio has been working on The Witcher 4 and a sequel to the original Witcher trilogy.
