Book of Travels’ attempt to explain why MMO does exist

The difference between something with a feature and the content would seem pretty obvious to most MMO players, but like many years old, Book of Travels does things slightly different from the accepted norm, which prompted an elaboration in an early blog.

According to Might & Delight, players who consider new lands content content are following a very misleading way of thinking about games – principally because of the lands feature primary form of content:

People often read reviews and say there is nothing to do, yet we know that players have been playing hundreds of hours. The process generally involves the creation of several features, people use them and the number of features in each area reflects a level of content.

The blog admits the devs made finding this content unnecessarily difficult, and it’s something that the team is working to address by better explaining what players should do so they can play the game as intended. It also explains that getting the features working correctly is important, since adding more lands with broken features will exacerbate the simple online titles problems.

In the meantime, players who have cut through the features to get through the content share their stories of their experiences, which was put together in a floppy new video.
