The Season 5 update for Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and DMZ brings several new weapons including the FR Avancer Assault Rifle. I’m really excited to use this gun as it’s a reworked version of the popular FFAR from the original Warzone. Follow this guide for the best FR Avancer loadout in Warzone.
Best FR Avancer Loadout and Class in Warzone 2
- Muzzle: Sakin Tread-40
- Barrel: 600mm FR Longbore
- Optic: Cronen Mini Pro
- Magazine: 60 Round Mag
- Rear Grip: RMT Grip
The FR Avancer features a fast fire rate that results in a really competitive time-to-kill (TTK). To balance this, the weapon has a high vertical recoil. Best used as a sniper support class, the attachments used for the FR Avancer help with the weapon’s range, recoil control, and mobility. Although the recoil may seem high at first, you’ll learn to control the kick in no time. If you’re comfortable using the iron sight, I’d say swap the optic for the FR Sprinter stock for better mobility.

I recommend using the following class setup for the FR Avancer AR in Warzone 2 Battle Royale and Resurgence game modes:
- Primary Weapon: FR Avancer
- Secondary Weapon: Carrack .300 / MCPR-300
- Tactical: Smoke Grenade
- Lethal: Semtex
- Perk Package: Overkill, Double Time, Fast Hands, Birdseye / High Alert.
How to unlock the FR Avancer Assault Rifle in Warzone 2
You can unlock the FR Avancer at Sector E8 of the Season 5 Battle Pass for MW2 and Warzone 2. Simply earn BP tokens by playing the game and spend them to reach the aforementioned sector via the following path on the Battle Pass map: E1>E2>E3>E6>E8. After the end of Season 5, the unlock criteria for the weapon will be updated to a simple unlock challenge.
