- Close Baldur’s Gate 3.
- Restart Steam.
- Right-click Baldur’s Gate 3 in your Steam library.
- Select General.
- Choose Steam Cloud.
- Turn this off.
- Go to your Baldur’s Gate 3 Steam Folder
- Located at “C:\Users\myUser\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur’s Gate 3”
- Delete this folder.
- Launch Baldur’s Gate 3
This should resolve the issue, allow you to play the game, and save your progress. But, there may be other issues that are also causing problems. I also recommend turning off cross-saves for Baldur’s Gate 3 to prevent any more saving stress. You can also switch from DX11 to Vulkan, or vice versa when launching the game. Finally, you can try verifying your game files for Baldur’s Gate 3 on Steam, but many players are reporting this does not help, but may be worth trying.
