- Close Baldur’s Gate 3.
- Restart Steam.
- Right-click Baldur’s Gate 3 in your Steam library.
- Select General.
- Choose Steam Cloud.
- Turn this off.
- Go to your Baldur’s Gate 3 Steam Folder
- Located at “C:\Users\myUser\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur’s Gate 3”
- Delete this folder.
- Launch Baldur’s Gate 3
This should resolve the issue, allow you to play the game, and save your progress. But, there may be other issues that are also causing problems. I also recommend turning off cross-saves for Baldur’s Gate 3 to prevent any more saving stress. You can also switch from DX11 to Vulkan, or vice versa when launching the game.
