Remember when Ubisoft announced that Assassins Creed would come to Netflix? No, mobile game Assassins Creed. The streaming provider announced in 2020 a live-action Assassins Creed series. Although described as the beginning of a larger deal, which might include animated series and shorts later, there hasn’t been any updates.

Of course, he’s here right now. Writer and showrunner Jeb Stuart confirmed to Collider that he wasn’t on the project anymore. I think the move by a few executives from LA to London was a little a departure, as a result of a shift in vision. It allowed the London group, who unfortunately had to develop their own vision, to share my vision with me rather than with it.

I think that’s fair. I know its going to be great whenever it comes. I think Ubisoft guys are excellent. I think it’s a great franchise. It was just a good time for the two sides to move on.

Stuart has been a part of a few Hollywood blockbusters, including Die Hard, The Fugitive and Another 48 Hours. He was also the writer, executive producer, creator and showrunner of Vikings: Valhalla, which is entering its second season. Stay tuned for updates in the meantime.
