All the gameplay changes in the Apex Legends SpellBound Collection event

    The Apex Legends SpellBound Collection Event kicks off on January 10, 2023 and will last until January 24, 2023. Not only does the event include new cosmetics to collect, free rewards, and the launch of Seer’s Heirloom, the Apex Legends SpellBound Collection Event the SpellBound Collection will also have a number of gameplay changes and a new way to play.

    The SpellBound Collection Event will feature weapon balances, crafter changes, and bug fixes. Here are all the changes coming to Apex Legends in the SpellBound Collection event.

    Crafter Changes in the SpellBound Collection Event

    • G7 Scout enters the crafter
    • CAR SMG enters the crafter
    • Spitfire returns to the ground
    • Peacemaker returns to the floor

    Weapon Changes in the SpellBound Collection Event

    • G7 Scout: Damage reduced to 32 (was 34)
    • Prowler Burst – PDW damage increased to 15 (was 14)
    • Sentry: Now requires 1 shield cell to energize (was 2)
    • Anvil Hop-Up: Limb damage multiplier reduced to 0.75 (was 0.9)
    • Anvil Hop-Up Flatline damage reduced to 39 (was 43)
    • Anvil Hop-Up R301 damage reduced to 32 (was 35)

    Error correction

    • Fixed Mirage Lures not displaying the shield regeneration effect when near a Wattson Pylon or in Control or Gun Game modes.
    • Added 10 new welcome challenges to help new players learn Apex.
    • New “Apex 101” badge reward for completing all 10 welcome challenges.
    • Character switching in the shooting range now has a smoother third-person transition.
    • Fixed a rare issue with the Mobile Respawn Beacon sometimes spawning the Dropship out of bounds.
    • Fixed issue with ability previews when entering Phase Portals.
    • Doors now always appear as damaged when they are within a melee attack of being destroyed.
    • Caustic Town Takeover loot cans now behave more reliably in control mode.
    • Reduced the visual effects of Caustic’s gas flash.
    • Fixed a rare client crash with IMC Armories.
    • Fixed the raven on the Bloodhound Niflheim Hundr skin to appear as a target more reliably.
    • Direct X Beta: added shine
    • Fixed issue where Crypto could survey while using his drone by removing the HUD.
    • Fixed issue where lobby tabs would enter an unresponsive state after changing resolution on PC.
    • Adjusted the hold and tap logic for controller players to see weapons in Loadouts to make them more responsive.

    private matches

    The SpellBound event will also feature private matches so up to 60 players can participate in custom matches. To play private matches, all you have to do is create a lobby or receive a lobby code from another player.
