You can find weapons secured all over the map, whether they spawn as ground loot, in chests, or in the new heist bags, but sometimes the best loot can be found locked safely away in Holo Chests. Holo Chests can hold a varied selection of rarity weapons, some of the very best you can find during a match, making it well worth trying to collect. We have all the updated locations where you can find them on the map below, plus how you can go about unlocking them!
All Holo Chest Locations in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4
Holo Chests are special chests holding particularly useful weapons inside them. When you approach a Holo Chest, the item inside will be displayed in a hologram image above it, in the color rarity that it is. Unlike normal chests, they can not just be opened up. Instead, you’ll need a key to unlock them.
There is no shortage of Holo Chests spread around the map, each holding a different rarity weapon that you can collect. You can find them most often at gas stations or at landmarks surrounding the POIs. How to open Holo Chests in Fortnite
Opening Holo Chests is the same as it was in prior seasons. You’ll need to collect keys found around the map and use them to unlock them. Keys can be found most often in chests and occasionally in other loot boxes. Once you collect the key, it will display beside your gold bars amount on the bottom right of the screen. When you have a key, you can walk up to the chest that you want to open and hold the interact button X, Square, or E to open it. Some Holo Chests require more than one key, so you’ll have to acquire more keys before trying to unlock them.
These chests can hold all kinds of weapons, including the new season weapons, inside them, all the way up to Mythic rarity, so be sure to keep an eye out for keys while looting and make your way to one as soon as possible. It could mean the difference in your survival during the match.
